I'm about two-thirds of the way through and struggling not to DNF. I don't like the characters. I hate the text like interactions back and forth. I'm not invested in anything about this story.

I'm the opposite of Miche in that the audiobook made this story for me. I went out and got the physical copy when I was halfway through the audiobook, just to have it because the layout is very cool, but the full cast and sound effects on the audiobook were amazing.

So glad you're enjoying it Veronica! I kind of wishes I'd listened to the ebook, even though I adore the printed format. Maybe for a future reread I'll grab the audio.

That's such a shame, you're almost done! Try and push through, points for the team :p

Good to know! I hate physical books. Might start on physical and move on to audio.

I can't imagine what this book would sound like :)
Shockingly this turned around for me once (view spoiler) I thought their interactions were interesting after that and the action really picked up.

Normally I would be totally with you on the backtrack aspect but, amazingly, I was okay with this. (view spoiler) Just don't spread it around. ;-)

Then why torment yourself?

Think of a full radio play and Star Wars type sound effects for battles and such.

Points for the team, and the vindication of seeing something through? :)

Siobhan I completely agree!! That part was beautiful! I actually cried a little in the metro reading those pages! Visually is was stunning of course but God I felt so much!
I think we're at roughly the same point now, I'm now at page 327 so (view spoiler)

You don't want to know what I imagine here:). I will just say there are lots of lightsaber effects in my mind :) :)

Glad you enjoyed it :) I'm really liking this, I'll probably finish it tomorrow since I'm out tonight.

That's what made him/it a great character. Good bad guys.

I love the crazies, they're often my favourite characters!

It arrived today! I'm still thinking about the end... That's how you know you enjoyed a book I think, when you're still invested it in even after you've finished.

I can't wait to open all those spoilers."
Enjoy Virginie!

The book is very YA. The first 20% were a bit tedious but the plot is advancing now. I really want to know (view spoiler)

I think this books strengths definitely lie in the format, it just makes it a cool reading experience. It's a shame you didn't connect with the characters though.
