Who else think Juliette was mean to ADAM? Whatever she did to him was unfair.

Yeah i Loved Adam alot in this series. Warner was good too. but M simply team Adam.
i guess Juliette was unfair to him. she lied to him, hid stuff, attracted to someone else even when she was in a relationship with Adam. Adam asked for time, to make things work but she was not ready to giv hm any chance or say she wanted Warner from very starting.

so i think that you need to look at the story from a few different angles. think about Juliette's life up until Adam rescued her - she wasn't able to be touched by anyone, her parents sent her away and she was in a cell alone for years. So, i think that her ability to communicate properly with people was probably stunted quite a bit.

while i agree that she could have been nicer to Adam, you guys are forgetting that he withdrew from her at one point, and you can't put that on her. he took a step away from their relationship while he was trying to sort through his abilities and his own stuff - so as a teenager who's never been in a relationship before, it's likely that she's going to have some of that latent resentment and perhaps a part of her will always hold that against him.

the other thing too though is that you know that teenagers will never be fully honest if another love interest comes into the picture. they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but to themselves, their own feelings are jumbled. i don't know that she was 100% over Adam at any point int he story - especially given how she kept watching him and wanting him to be with someone else, but still having that jealousy.

so - net net of my long winded response - i think that she was a bit mean, but so was he but i don't think that it was entirely unfair.

yeah , you're right that's why juliette kinda pissed me off

I hate hate hate people who start love triangles (I don't mean the author, I mean Juliette) because when you fall for someone else (Warner) you're going back on your promises to your significant other (Adam). Hurting Adam the way she did was not cool, and frankly mean. I know they were broken up and everything, but still. Their feelings were unresolved and she barely gave him the chance to heal first.

i think that her definition of being free means being above others. IMHO in the third book she was a bitch and forgot the feeling of being betrayed, lonely and weak.
After all, she betrayed Adam with Warner and that's okay with me cause they're better couple, but she didn't have to be so harsh and at least try to understand how shitty Adam felt and his aggressive attidude was beacuse of the hurt...

I'm pretty sure he was harsh to her first and when she reacted to the way Adam was treating her, it was to defend herself. She was hurt by the way he acted, as much as he was hurt by her. And I can understand just being done with someone who reacts with the same hurtful attacks every time. She didn't handle the end of the relationship as perfectly as she could have, but I don't think she was mean. If anyone was, it was Adam who was mean.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with this at all. Firstly, people grow apart. There is never a guarantee that the first person you enter into a relationship with is the person you are going to spend forever with. And Juliette ended her relationship with Adam quite well considering the situation they were in. When she officially ended it she did it so he wouldn't die. She wanted to protect him. And, yes, Adam asked for time, but by then her feelings for Adam were fading and her attraction to Warner was increasing. So wouldn't it be unfair if she remained in her relationship with Adam even when she no longer had romantic feelings for him. Secondly, her attraction to Warner couldn't be stopped, even when she was in a relationship with Adam. It's not like you can tell your body or your heart what to do and who to be attracted to. Thirdly, in Ignite Me when she and Adam were arguing about their relationship Adam acted immature about the whole thing. Clingy, desperate, not letting her explain at all. He threw a temper tantrum. He even went as far as saying that he'd rather have her dead than no longer in love with him. Fourthly, what she did wasn't selfish. Saying she wanted to continue fighting and not stay in hiding 'safe' with Adam. She wanted to save 'the world' I guess you could say. Actually, it would have been more selfish staying with Adam than doing what she did.

Even though I shipped Juliette and Adam in Shatter Me and Unravel Me I don't think she was being "mean" to Adam in Ignite Me. She was defending her friends in the situations, wouldn't you? Juliette was just getting to the point that she didn't want to be with Adam. Adam was also kind of over reacting A LOT, just putting it out there i am not against Adam. I THINK Adam was mean and hurtful to Juliette, putting her into stupid situations. I think Adam was selfish and just wanted to be mad at someone so he got mad at Juliette.

I actually loved Juliette's attitude towards Adam in Ignite Me, she finally stood up to him. I think Adam was over-reacting and he acted like Juliette was HIS property and thats not okay. He kept insisting they were together when Juliette clearly told him THREE TIMES that they weren't. I felt like Adam was acting selfish and just plain horrible in the 3rd book, which is why I think Juliette calling him out on his shitty attitude was perfect.

Yeah , i think she was way too harsh on Adam. i think Adam should have got a nicer ending.

Me!!!! I really really agree that what Juliette did to Adam was truly mean and unfair. I dont blame nor hate Warner. I like him but I love Adam and Im definitely TEAM ADAM all the way. Juliette was attracted to Warner even when they are still together. Its okay for me because Im pretty sure that whoever is in her place will surely fall for a guy like Warner. He did everything for Juliette plus he is handsome and hot! But Juliette could have told it earlier to Adam. She could have explained it, but instead she just make it look like Adam has all the fault. They both have. She cant admit it. All the people around them thinks Adam is stupid, arrogant, and everything. Its all because of Juliette. If only she considers Adam's feelings and sacrifices. Things could have gone better.
