I began reading the Stone Barrington series with book 6 or 7 and eventually went back and read from beginning to end. I think Doing Hard Time is when i really started disliking the series, and felt that it was formulaic and dull. I am not a quitter, and love a series so I've read them all and will probably read the next one (I just finished Barely Legal - Herbie Fisher). My question is this - what series do you recommend that is similar, but hopefully better?
