Despite Jack's frequent sightings, Lucy remained skeptical that Kristen was alive. Why was she unwilling to trust him in this matter?

Lucy has a super strong need to control and Jack challenged that. I would have been difficult, but not impossible for Kristin to fake her death and Lucy just couldn't see that.

[Lauren]

Jack had lied to Lucy in the past, so that together with her control issues made it difficult for her to believe him. Also, she was convinced that he was out for vigilante style revenge and this was affecting his judgement.

I thought for certain she'd be convinced when they found the wig and disguise clothing in the park. Lucy's judgment was really off in this story and I felt she was overcompensating to appear objective with Jack.

I kept wondering what it would take for Lucy to believe Jack about Kristen. I think he could have marched Kristen right in front of her and she would have still questioned his judgement.
