Turns out the prison infirmary nurse, Risa, was working for the bad guys. Did you ever suspect her?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I knew there was a mole there, but I didn't suspect her. She was always nice to Joe and Eileen. She wasn't passing all info she had along. She didn't disclose the first two daughters.

Lauren (laurenjberman) To be honest, I'd forgotten who she was as its been a while since I read the last book.

She seemed so kind to Eileen in the infirmary. Her duplicity caught me by surprise.

Lauren (laurenjberman) It's possible that she did care for Eileen after all and that is why she ultimately resigned.

If she was on Marilee's payroll, I wonder why her employer didn't arrange for Eileen to have an "accident" in prison.

I had similar thoughts. Perhaps her reach wasn't that far.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments If she has Risa firmly on her payroll, all the nurse would have had many perfect opportunities to kill Eileen.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Risa wasn't on my radar at all. I was surprised when Marilee said that Risa worked on the inside for her.

Robin, I even considered she'd been removed to be replaced by someone connected to the killer!

That would have made more sense to me.
