Disambiguation of single name characters?

Not sure how this is done. I'm adding list of main characters to a book and I have one character that is just identified as Etienne. Problem is there's already a single named character called Etienne for another book. Is there a way to disambiguate this name? I know that my Etienne has appeared in other books by the same author and I'm looking to add him to those as well.

No, single-name characters (and authors, for that matter) cannot be disambiguated.

Sometimes the book title or series name is added to the character name: 'character name (series)' but I don't know if that is the right way.
