Time is Running Out!

I know it's only August 8, but it's August 8! I'm trying to finish my IRL book club book and then start my Space Opera book. I'm already feeling the pressure, lol, since I haven't finished a book for the tag since at least April, maybe longer.

Said in Comic Book Guy's voice: Worst. PBTer. Ever.

We're reading My Lady Jane. I've already read it, but I wanted to reread it because it was my favorite read last year. For the Space Opera tag, I want to reread Dune since it's my all-time favorite book. And, if I have time (ha!), I want to reread The Paradise Snare, which is a Star Wars book and the beginning of a trilogy I've been meaning to finish since 1997.

Time is also "running out" for the prosperity challenge (end date of Labor day- Monday, September 4). So about a month away.

I'm not sure how everyone else is doing- I know quite a lot of people have finished already. I'm at 5/7 of the prosperity books, but can't seem to get my hands on one. I've settled on the fact, I probably won't finish the prosperity challenge by Labor day, and will try to finish the other two by the end of the year instead.

I've thrown in the prosperity towel! I wasn't enjoying the second book so I've added it to my DNF list. Too many good books to waste time on one I'm not enjoying.

I stalled on book 7 on Prosperity and it's one that I picked myself. Generally an author I like, but somehow it's not grabbing me. I have been re-reading the graphic novel series, Saga instead.
