So, because I'm really behind on my schedule, I'm going to finish this book today because I have three books to finish in the next three days!

I finally made it through chapter 1

I am reading while I am at work so it is taking me longer, I'll probably get through more when I get home...

(view spoiler)[ So Nick seems like a normal guy who doesn't come from money, but he has had a decent life. He is friends with Tom who is married to Daisy, but Tom "has another woman in New York." I feel like something is going to happen with Tom and Daisy, that they won't be together for much longer. They do have a child which may make them stay together, I am curious to see where that relationship goes. I am also curious about Gatsby now too... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2

(view spoiler)[So it is around the 4th of July and Tom and Nick and Mr. Wilson's wife are headed to New York, this lady seems to want to buy everything. She is looking at dogs, and wants a police dog from some dog vendor on the side of the street. $10 dollars for a dog, man back in the day that must have been nice. SO is this the lady from New York that Tom has?? I think that is what I am getting from this right now. Ms. Wilson is always changing her clothes too, that would stink to do her laundry. Though she probably has enough money to pay someone to do it. Why does everyone seem to be afraid of Gatsby, I am really interested in finding out more about this character. So Mertyle's sister Katherine is telling Nick that Mertyle doesn't like her husband, she cannot stand him, and that Tom cannot stand Daisy, but they both won't divorce their spouses. Tom has now broken Mrs. Wilson's nose, because she keeps talking about Daisy. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3

(view spoiler)[Gatsby seems to have a bunch of parties, holy man, I want to go! :) It seems like his parties go all out, they aren't simple, they are very elaborate. Orchestras, food, drinks, people. Most of the people there, weren't even invited, most don't even know Gatsby. Some people would go and not even meet him. Nick gets a personal invite from Gatsby, well it is a written invitation, but he actually got one. Nobody seems to know where Gatsby is....Jordan has now showed up at the party too, is something going to happen Nick and her..What is Gatsby's deal, there are so many rumors about him..he murdered someone, he was in the war, he did this, he did that. Jordan and Nick have gone on an adventure to find Gatsby. (hide spoiler)]

I apparently have a lot of catching up to do. I've been super busy, I gave myself wayyyyy too many books to read this month. Im on chapter 4. Yay half way through! lol.

Chapter 4
(view spoiler)[ Gatsby and Nick are on a drive, and aparently Gatsby doesn't know how to complete his sentences which drives Nick a little bit nuts. Gatsby seems like he is one of those people that knows he is rich and doesn't care that he is, he seems like he feels above people that are less fortunate than he is, that's the vibe I am getting from him right now anyway. Gatsby came into money through his family, which have all passed, and then Gatsby tried to die in the war because he felt like it was a great relief to him if he did, instead of grieving over the recent losses. Gatsby is opening up to Nick about his past and then throws Nick for a loop that he will find out more about him at lunch with Miss Baker, why doesn't gatsby just tell him himself? is he ashamed? So while Nick and Gatsby are out to lunch they run into Tom Buchanan, and Gatsby just disappears..Come to find out at the lunch with Miss Baker, Daisy (Tom's wife) used to be in love with a solider before she met Tom, and that solider was Gatsby...my how the tables have turned...Turns out Gatsby bought his house because he knew Daisy lived right across the bay, how romantic...He wants Nick to invite Daisy over and have him over too, because he wants to see her, for it has been too long that they have been apart. Chapter 5
(view spoiler)[ Nick gets Daisy to come over, and before she arrives Gatsby has Nick fix up his house a bit, cutting the grass, ordering flowers, making sure he has the right essentials for tea. When Daisy finally arrives Gatsby is so nervous, he is like a child, all clumsy and basically in love with this woman he doesn't know what to do with himself. It has been almost 5 years since they have last seen each other, which is a long time.Gatsby finally brings Daisy over to his house and shows her around...a gold toilet REALLY?? (hide spoiler)]
