SOLVED. Sci-fi/Fantasy book about a man who writes in the air with his nose. [s]

Hello, this is my first post. I'm looking for a book written in the mid-60s to the early 70s. It's about a man who suddenly finds he can write with blue smoke in the air with his nose. Or maybe it's just curse words .... He eventually discovers a boy who points and whirls and makes things fly around, I think he was called a poltergeist, but not positive. He also meets a lady who might have been a belly dancer who can levitate. They all end up running from the military.......I know its not much to go on and its been at least since the mid 80s since I read it last.. Hopefully someone here knows the title.
