Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo!

Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

D.G. | 2752 comments Hi everybody! I live in NYC, married with no kids. I read a lot of genres but more than half of everything I read is romance.

A few things:
- We need to pick a captain and a team name
- I'll be on vacation from Aug 7-Aug 18. Not sure if I'll be able to post/read while I'm there but I'll be able to catch up quickly when I return.
- I can be the captain if nobody else wants to but everything will have to wait until I come back from vacation.
- I sent friend requests to anybody who isn't currently my friend.

message 9: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I'm drawing up a blank with name suggestions...17 is not a really easy number for that so we may have to stay away from a team name with numbers. :)

message 10: by Stacie (last edited Aug 06, 2017 08:00AM) (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I'm awful at names but I'm thinking on it. I'd rather not be captain but am happy to help you D.G. while you are on vacation!

I'm Stacie, I live in Maryland. Married, no kids unless you count 4 cats.

D.G. | 2752 comments Ok Snippers! I'm a definite napper so that part of our name definitely fits, LOL!

As I mentioned, I'll be on Holiday starting today and Ill come back on the 17th. I'm not sure that I'll be able to read or post in the thread but I'll try. :)

In the meantime, can everybody post the book they are planning to read for Free Space? Remember to follow the rules in the below and say from which option you picked. :)

Review: First of all, how many pen names does Jennifer Armentrout have? I really liked this book despite the cliffhanger ending and some of it's predictability. I thought for sure they were setting one character up to be the bad guy but I was wrong so that's good to know. Level of smut in this one is high high high but there was also an actual story line to go with it. Definitely want to continue this series.

Review: Overall, I liked the book, but didn't love it. The book centered around Keelin. She was raised in Boston, but received a book from her grandmother in Ireland so she decided to go to Ireland. As starts go, it was a bit weak - it didn't seem like she had ever really pushed to find out anything about her father and grandmother in Ireland, so the interest wasn't grounded. Once she arrived in Ireland, it was a cute romance, surrounded by family drama and a paranormal component. I'm sure i'll read the next book in the series at some point, but probably not for awhile.

Review:
I love time travel stories, so I was very interested in reading this. I liked the main characters, for the most part, but there were times that Aimee was very aggravating - such as the way she refused to listen to Daniel's words of advice of the dangers in the area and did what she wanted. The romance was good, though it was a little more detailed than I prefer in my reading. I didn't understand Aimee's thought process in the ending, (view spoiler), definitely not what I'd have done. All in all, this was a fun and quick read.

Review: I was ready to throw my kindle at the wall at the ending (I hate cliffhangers) but other than that, I think this was a good start to an interesting series that I'd like to continue. The basic premise is that there is an old world (Vampires, werewolves, witches) hidden in society. Scarlet is a "null", which means she can negate any magic. She works as a "cleaner" to clean up signs of supernatural work. Her latest scene is a gruesome murder and over time, signs point to her as a killer. The book had several things going for it as the start of a series - an interesting concept, characters i'd like to see more of and good writing. I'll look forward to the next book in the series.
