Catch-22 was our group read in February 2015. It didn't generate a lot of discussion. Some folks don't get it, but I really like it. Here is my brief review: "Catch-22 is the most satirical of satires; It is the epitome of satire. It put me in mind of M*A*S*H (I've seen the movie but haven't read the book) if M*A*S*H had been written by Franz Kafka. I read Catch-22 many years ago, and reread it - A worthwhile reread."
Ayten, It will take about 4 years before we get around to reading it as a group again, so reading it as a buddy read with Kevin is a good idea.

I just read it again earlier this year. I had forgotten how many crazy/interesting/hilarious/mind-boggling characters and scenarios this story served up. While it often seems to 'come undone,' I would even read it a third time. Not right away, but down the road. Note: there's a 50th anniversary edition with stuff in the back which helps to explain much of the thought behind Heller's writing and how the book came about. I'm always interested in that sort of thing, anyway. Enjoy the buddy read, Kevin and Ayten.
Think its a marmite book. I loved it when I read it and plan to reread it next year. I know lots of people that didnt enjoy it.

This book is a "repeater" for me. I have read it twice and would read it again. I guess I'm glad for the new vocabulary word too. Thank you, Sam. Here's link to my review.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
