Is this author semi clean or clean writer? This means not a lot of cuss words or no cuss words at all!

Not really, I don't think they are cuss words as to say, but it is adult themed. Think early James Bond, type of writing sexual but 60's style.

If this is the same JDM that wrote the Travis McGee series way back in the 60s, I used to love him! Met him in Key West back then.
He's tame by today's standards....

yes same author and the Travis McGee series is great! also for fun is The girl the gold watch and everything.

I read every one of the Travis McGee series and I believe the author is a prime example of a natural storyteller.
I would class these stories as early examples of what we now call thrillers.
I heard an interview with Lee Child (of Jack Reacher fame) where he named JDM as being one of his big influences.
