"If your an avid Vampire geek like I am, books and films can all get a bit samey and although I have thoroughly enjoyed the new "Teen" stories, I was looking for something a bit more adult. The Cabinet of Dr Blessing is a much darker take on the vampire myth. In places its quite shocking and left me wondering "why did he do that?" but of course at the heart of this story, there is a vampire with the ability to make you its slave. If you like well written, Victorian based stories with a dark side and no romance, then this is the book for you. The Doctor will see his next victim....I mean patient now!"
