SOLVED. spies with same name and powers, romance [s]

so i picked this book up in a vacation house.
it was part of a series, not the first book. there's spy agents with superpowers, and there's two agents, one male, one female, with the same name-- it might, or might not have, been alex. their paperwork gets mixed jup sometimes which the female finds annoying. anyway they get assigned on a mission together. in russia, i think.

i can't remember much else except that the ending involved a whole lot of cloning tanks, and also possibly there might have been teleporting suicide bombers I'm not sure. I seem to also vaguely remember a tank of acid eating away at someone.
