Sharon Miller | 2 comments How do I add metadata for my books and add my books to genre shelves?

At the top of each editing page for my books (in the dashboard) there are two headings: Edit Book and Show Metadata. When I open the Metadata page, there is nothing there except: What is this? Answering these questions helps us build a recommendation system. The more accurate data we can get, the better book recommendations we can give you. There are no questions to answer.

Where can the questions be found and how do I apply them to my books? None of my books have been added to genre shelves because (I assume) metadata regarding the genre has not been added to my books. My books are apparently not in your recommendation system because of the lack of metadata.

I searched the Librarian Manual and the Discussion Board using the term, "metadata." No results for either search.

I would appreciate your advice or assistance.

Creating your own genre bookshelves for your books is the first step on the way to get your books recognized as such.
