It is ages ago. I'ld say it probably was The Kings Blood. It would be great to do a buddy read together. I always see the books you're reading and so many are on my TBR. I seem to book myself up on buddy reads very quickly, especially first in series.

I checked out your buddy tracker and we're reading Guns of Dawn together in October and I'm starting the Expanse series in November too. :-)

I'm also thinking about Low Town depending how I'm going in October.

message 7: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments So the books I will be reading this month will be royal assassin, the inquisition(top BR this month) and knights shadow

If I have one his month I want to read dune as well hopefully

message 8: by Dani (new)

Dani | 577 comments I didn't have as much reading time as I anticipated so I still have to finish two books from last month that aren't fantasy and one that is: The Invisible Library.
For this month I have planned Tigana (buddy read) and another standalone The Golem and the Jinni
For the time left, I'll be deciding spontaneously, just as an experiment to see if that works out better than my planning has so far haha.

message 9: by Chiyo (new)

Chiyo | 3 comments Harry Potter
I'm going to finish the 3rd that's for sure so probably
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

sour cream potato chip I'm going to read Hyperion, A gathering of shadows, The Doomspell trilogy, Red seas under red skies and maybe The two towers :)

Ah great idea to cross reference the lists. I'm really looking forward to all of those you mentioned.

message 12: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments I just put The Crown Tower on hold at the library, so I will probably be reading that in August. I already have The Rose and the Thorn, so I may get to that as well.

I may try to get to Kings of the Wyld if I can get it from the library.

I'm starting a new job, so I haven't really planned anything since I don't know how much time I will have for reading. Just going to go with what I feel like reading. I also have a couple from this month that will roll over into next to finish off.

message 13: by Chris (new)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2348 comments I'll be reading beta copies of The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter and Age of War, which will take up most of my month.

Also doing school. Ugh.

And in between all of that, I've started Red Sister. For audio, I'll finish up Fool's Assassin and then listen to All These Worlds when it comes out.

Oh, at the end of the month I'll be reading Swarm and Steel, which I'm really looking forward to :)

message 14: by Andrew (new)

Andrew | 653 comments I just started the seventh Saxon Tales book by Bernard Cornwell, as well as the latest James Bond novel, Trigger Mortis.
The other two series that I'm reading (Wheel of Time and Sarantine Mosaic) both have Buddy Reads for the next book in September...so unfortunately I will probably need to start up another new series or two to get me through the rest of the month of August. Most likely choices are either Powder Mage, Drenai Saga, Craft Sequence, Greatcoats, or Riyria Revelations. I'm open to suggestions among those choices!

message 15: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 1578 comments Andrew, I really like the Powder Mage series and Riyria Revelations, so I would definitely suggest those.

message 16: by Liam (new)

Liam (leeman729) | 828 comments This month I plan on finishing LOTR, as well as Riyria Revelations if possible. Tigana is another one I plan on finishing, though it might take me a little bit more time.

Trying very hard to finish all of my incomplete series, so that's my main focus this month, so C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy will also probably be in the mix.

message 17: by Liam (new)

Liam (leeman729) | 828 comments Andrew, definitely give Powder Mage a shot!

message 18: by Ben (new)

Ben | 8 comments זיכרון ילדות יפה במיוחד by Haim Shapira
Spanish Novels Muerte en Buenos Aires (Spanish Novels for Beginners - A1) by Paco Ardit

Haven't decided more then that for now!

Enjoy House of Chains Miche. I'll be interested to see what you think of the ending. I was a bit underwhelmed after the endings for the previous books.

Thank you, Angela! Considering that the last two books broke my heart in a thousand pieces, I might be able to relish an underwhelming ending, as long as he picks up in some of the subsequent books. ;)

Sarah | 494 comments I finished up Retribution Falls but was too slow in doing it to join in with The Black Lung Captain like I had planned. Still, I plan to squeeze it in this month so I'm ready for the next one.

Currently reading:
Age of Swords
Kings of the Wyld

I also plan to read The Rook this month.

Towards the end of the month I am hoping to get started on Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table for one of my challenges for another group.

I'm going on vacation later this month and have several long flights and a couple bus rides, so that should make for some good quality reading & audiobook time!

I haven't started yet, my son told me tonight that was his pick when given the option of Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang, Journeys Through Bookland or Sanderson's book that he chose. We just finished with the BFG.

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5389 comments I've been making my way through The Iron Druid series this month. I loved the first 2 but it's been steadily declining since. I'm on Shattered now.

I liked the first two iron Druid as well, I took a break after the 3rd because I didn't like it and haven't been back since, lol.

Fair enough... there's a pretty big story shift from book 3-5... I stuck with it partially because I really liked Oberon, and later the other dog...

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5389 comments Niki, you aren't missing much. I'm still sticking with it cuz I keep hoping for better, but the story line seems like the same book to book and even the humor is getting more immature. Sadly I think it's going the way of Dresden Files, which I also think went downhill the last couple of books.

That's good to hear, actually haha. I also didn't love the last few Dresden from 12 - 14, but thought 15 was one of the most enjoyable of the series. You'll have to let me know if there's a strike of brilliance that makes it worth the effort haha.
