I love when people note that in their review!

I also like the idea of having the reviews on the page. I'm looking forward to seeing what other NetGalley reviewers think of the books.

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments I have to admit before I hit the request button I go off and check the reviews here so I suppose this means I can skip a step :)

Do you think they'll still add the review if it's for a book that was archived 2 years ago? Not that I have any of those on my shelf of course ;)

Elizabeth Ok so I added to more to my list 😁,but some how I ended up requesting a 11 NetGalley books🤔

Kristie | 3595 comments I have happily started a few of my NetGalley books. I figured I'd give a quick update.

Everything You Want Me to Be by Mindy Mejia - I'm at 26% and am curious to see where it goes. I'm reading it for a a read-a-thon I'm doing in another group, so I hope to have it done tomorrow.

Hook's Tale Being the Account of an Unjustly Villainized Pirate Written by Himself by John Leonard Pielmeier - I made it to 14% and put it aside. I just couldn't get into it. I haven't given up on it yet. I think maybe I'm just not in the mood for it today.

The Forever Summer by Jamie Brenner - 31% So far, so good. I'm finding it interesting if not enthralling.

The Breakdown by B.A. Paris - 35% Started for a buddy read. I'm enjoying it. I really don't know what's going on. I had some initial theories, but I don't think they will turn out to be right. I really hope they're not right.

Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens - 3% I started this one on my Kindle app on my phone while I was out. I should not have started it. It really grabbed me and I don't have time to read it right now because I need to finish some of the others I've already started. Maybe it will give me some motivation to finish the others so I can get back to this one.

When I Wake Up by Jessica Jarlvi - 9% Another mystery thriller type book. I started this one and had to pause it because I have too many similar books going at once. My initial thought is that I'm curious what happened and who did it, but the husband annoys me.

Hopefully, I'll finish at least a couple of these before the end of the month. I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with my attempt to finish as many books as I add this month, but I'm sure going to try!

I still have six on my pending shelf and have already added 4 this month, with only 1 read and reviewed.

Wow Kristie, you have a few on the go!

I finished
Myths of Leadership Banish the Misconceptions and Become a Great Leader by Jo Owen
and then made the mistake of seeing what else that publisher had (because so far their books have been really useful) and I requested and had approval given for 3 more :o

message 57: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments Which 3 did you get, Karen?

They're good to read on the train and I use the reviews as part of the social media for my business :)

message 61: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments Which one did you get, Elizabeth?

I've got 6 still sitting on my pending shelf. I wish they'd just give a response one way or the other.

I finished Everything You Want Me to Be and just need to write the review. I am also making progress on The Breakdown and Hook's Tale. I seem to have finally broken out of my starting, but not finishing books trend, so now I'm going back and finishing all the books I started.

That's too bad. I always try to keep my ARCs, unless they are the ones that you can't open on your Kindle. Those frustrate me. I wonder if I should assume I'll like the first one and request the second? I generally like Koontz's writing.

message 76: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I was also able to download today, so I don't think it's NetGalley. Unless it's something with those specific titles? Perhaps check your internet connection? I know I had a problem once sending titles to my Kindle and it took a while for me to figure out there was an internet problem.

I'll give it a day or 2 then try again, I know it was working the day before yesterday because I downloaded and sent 2 others to my Kindle DOCs , if I still can't I'll send a message to NetGalley.
Thinks for trying to helping

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 1778 comments Yeah, my pending shelf is thankfully quite small after this week. I've had an influx of publishers answering my requests just now :)

message 85: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I wish they'd answer mine! One way or the other. For some reason it really bothers me to have books sitting on my pending shelf.

Kristie | 3595 comments I finished another! I just finished The Breakdown by B.A. Paris . I will do my review within the next couple of days. I am also more than halfway through Hook's Tale Being the Account of an Unjustly Villainized Pirate Written by Himself by John Leonard Pielmeier . You guys just made me wonder... so I checked and I'm only at 89 reviews. That's now my goal - is to get to 100!

message 98: by Casey, (new)

Casey, with a book (caseydilla) | 35 comments Has anyone ever accidentally given feedback for the wrong title? I was submitting my review when I was way too tired and I didn't realize till afterward that I had entered it all for the wrong title. I deleted the review, but I couldn't undo the star rating and it shows that I've given feedback on the title... I put in the notes that I made a mistake and that I would review the actual title soon... is there anything else I should do?? I feel so dumb lol

message 99: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I haven't done that, Casey. (At least not yet. lol) I would probably just send a message to the publisher explaining as you did. I don't think there's much else you can do. I would probably move that book up to the top of my list too so I could put in the proper review. You may be able to change the star rating, if you choose, when you add the new review.
