The Year of Secret Assignments? The story is told through letters. It's a really fun book!

Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer. I have only listened to it on audio in German (as Gut Gegen Nordwind), but I enjoyed it. Evidently other people have, too, since it has been translated to English.
The Year of Secret Assignments is SOOOOO good! It's the best of the series, in my opinion, and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. There's a 4th book in the series, too: The Ghosts of Ashbury High, which was a lot more... gothic than the previous books.I don't know if you want to stick with YA, but the Boy series by Meg Cabot is told in emails, mostly: The Boy Next Door, Boy Meets Girl, and Every Boy's Got One. They're actually fairly clean... more chick-lit than straight romance... although I couldn't really tell you what makes it seem that way. They're just lighter and fluffier, I suppose.
Oh, and I just thought of another one.... What was it called.... Perfect Strangers. It was an email/pen pal one. Cheesy, but CUTE! I don't THINK the other three in the series were epistolary though.
