I think Nikki's wig is WAY better...I mean in Twilight you could see her roots...Why would a vamp have hair roots??? I also think Esme looks better because they are all supposed to be sooooo beautiful and I didn't find her all that attractive in Twilight.

If, in her human life, she wasn't a natural blonde. And when she turned into a vampire, her hair stayed stuck in time. That's how Stephenie described it. She said "If you don't like your hair, too bad. Haha."
That's why Alice's hair never grows out. It was still growing out of her buzz cut from the asylum when she was turned.

Ok but she was supposed to be a beautiful natural blonde...I'm not sure people even colored their hair in her time, she was 18 when she was changed which means it would have been 1923...at least not rich upstanding women.
Oh and I guess they will have to put Kristen in a wig to because she hacked off all her hair to play Joan Jett.

You know the phrase "Oh your such a pretty girl, why hide under all that makeup"? Sometimes, bold make-up is great, but with Esme (her being Hollywood glamour and organic beauty)is like the saying goes, it covers up all of her great features.
Make-up, if done right, is supposed to enhance you, not cover you. The dark eyes, and silver under brow shadow, draws your attention up to her eyebrows not her eyes. The deep red lips are intrusive, and make you uncomfortable. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be over at a vampire's house, and see her lips all red. You can imagine where my mind would go...

I guess because that's how I often wear my makeup I think it looks good...kind of pin-up beautiful...
You should have done her make-up, Stephanie. The one they hired, smeared it all over. :(

Because then you can't see her cleavage!

I REALLY love the change in Jasper, remember, he's supposed to look scary after all he's gone through!

But the color they used for his hair is not "Golden Blonde" like it was supposed to be.

=) I'll take your word for it. It looks amazing so far, minor flaws aside. I'm a big movie-goer, and I look at it as an experience to remember.
I can't wait till I have all the movie's on DVD with extras (I know that'll take a few years but it's okay). Then I can have a twilight viewing marathon, whenever I want to. =D

I agree, Emily, the book pale's in comparison. ((Nice seeing you))

And the only difference in the two pictures was that the 1st movie's picture background is a dark grey while the other is a warm brown. Plus the style of hair is different. They look better in the second but they look more of a horror movie in the first.

I didn't make a comparison to the people I see in the books. I made a comparison to the previous film, and the new film. It wasn't just from the photoshopped posters either, I was analyzing the film stills too, which are normally grainy and unedited. And the differences are subtle albeit, but it's not like they aren't there.
I'll enjoy the film anyway. I was only sharing my opinion like Summer said. I have a critical eye. Maybe if more fans started sharing their actual thoughts on things, Summit will do better next time around.
Not that I didn't like some stuff; I clearly mentioned I liked Taylor's look, Rachelle's hair, and Edward's style.
I definitely agree with you, BookGeek. Bella is supposed to be this girl that a lot of people see as plain, which makes them all the more confused when they see her with Edward. She's also supposed to have an average physique, which she doesn't. Kristen looks unhealthy lately, and it's really adding ribs to Bella. Also, since Rosalie is supposed to be very obviously beautiful, they need to really work on Nikki Reed, they need to make her pop.

I think it's Nikki's eyes that downgrade her a lot. Her eyes are already dark, so they should stay away from all that smokey eyes stuff. Highlight her eyes, not darken them. Kristen needs less make-up. I understand that in Hollywood, everyone is supposed to be gorgeous and made up, and we're supposed to stand in awe of them, but seriously. They didn't even give Emma Watson that much make up until Goblet of fire. And someone needs to get Kristen a nutritionist. Those are very "Hollywood", right?

Nikki can't do much about her skin, though. It's really sad, she's actually bleaching her naturally tan skin for the role. I heard that kind of thing just hurts unlike anything. I could never imagine doing something like that for a role, even for Twilight.

I noticed.

O.O She's bleaching her skin??? Oh my goodness.
Yeah, I know. I saw a special on it. Some of the bleaches can thin the skin, meaning you may be able to see veins you couldn't see. Some of them also seem to have carcinogens in them, cancer-causing cells.
...Unless she's doing Microdermabrasion peels, those are safer. Still, a bit much.

Um, yeah. It is. Ugh, people and what they'd do for money these days.
No one would do something like that (it could be permanent) for money only, Twilight offers status, plus it's awesome.

Ooo, but...bleach? Sigh, this is still kinda crazy to me.
Rebecca ❤ Bea ❤ wrote: "I can't believe she's bleaching her skin, can't they just edit it afterwards. I can't really understand why she was cast to begin with, she's no where near as beautiful as I imagine Rose to be."
I think she was cast because Catherine Hardwicke had worked with her before. The both of them co-wrote "Thirteen" which was a huge hit movie way back when. But I think that you can at least appreciate that Nikki would go to lengths no one else would for the role. If they just got a model, that girl wouldn't really care at all. At least Nikki can act the part.

Well I bet Nikki wishes she had your skin.
LittleDolphin wrote: "i couldnt put my finger on it at first but looking at those pics i finally got it, she is alot skinnier in New Moon.."
Yeah, but I think it goes towards her being depressed and catatonic, therefore not eating much. But yeah, I don't think they were going for that. Kristen's just getting unhealthy.
LittleDolphin wrote: "you have to admit though, he probably hasn't gotten alot of rest while filming the movie, but i think he looks better in New Moon, but i can kind of see the creepiness you're talking about"
Yeah, that would explain the dark eyes. I guess it's just the gunk on his lips that's bothering me. I understand that they put lip stain on Rob in the first Twilight, to make him a bit paler, in comparison to the make-up. What I don't get is why they put some on Peter, and made it glossy, no less.
