NEW & CURRENT August Title Pick Thread. The one to go by. Thanks!

Okay, there were attempts to try a few new things but it got a bit "out there" so with bull by the horns, the PI's kindly steered it out of The Parlor. Whoosh. Wow, just look at the state of our love seat and club chair!! Here goes...

The month is ticking on and we need an emergency selection of sorts. So at this time, everyone just vote two titles. No themes or such as that just creates another vote to make and more work on time schedule we don't have. So I'll get it going by restating my choices: The Cosy Tea Shop in the Castle and I'll leave a Wild Card for one of those other titles that were nominated. At tomorrow's end, We'll count up votes and majority will win. Plain and simple. It's a go!

I will stick with my original nominations of either Murder at Honeychurch Hall or A Vicky Hill Exclusive, both by Hannah Dennison. :-)

So we've four titles in "The Bowl." It's one for Cosy Tea Shop, two for Honeychurch and one for Vicky Hill.

Now, I understand a Christie was favored. Okay, state AC title of choice and again, we'll vote. Majority wins.

Yeah, I like the polls as well, Nicole. Was waiting for all the noms to get in then post a poll but looks like we'll be saving a step as it seems majority wants Honeychurch so we'll go with it. A bit of kismet seeing as we are running a little late this month. But not etched in stone that we have to start right on the first of Aug. :-)

There are 5 copies in my library system so I should have it over the weekend. I'm pretty impressed with the library's cozy selection lately. A few years ago it was really lousy!

Oh...do we have a host for August? New Nicole, would you like the honors? Host/leader of month's read just starts a title thread, makes a mini intro and breaks chapters into three sections leaving last one or two for reveal. Oftentimes, it works nicely as the whodunit isn't spoiled that way. See what you think and let us know. ;-) (Note: Pghfan and the others host a good read and if you want, check out their title threads to pick up tips).

I invited another GRs gal to pop in and join us if she's able. She's seen out and about GRs, reading tons of books to my one. LOL Anyway, she had Honeychurch checked as Want To Read so I thought to let her know of our August pick. If no, we still have a comfy group in The Parlor. Awesome!

My apologies to the group for taking you "out there" and apparently causing confusion. It was certainly not my intent. When I last spoke to Tina, she sounded overwhelmed so I was trying to help out and thought we could try something different but no big deal either way. Fortunately you are all "back on board".
This had also been "nails on a chalk board' to me. I don't like strife - as was said "who needs it". Time for me to step back and take a breather. Not sure when or if I will be back. In the meantime I wish you all good reads.
