Have you tried Shelly Laurenston? If you don't mind OTT characters, you might like her Pride series (which is finished, I think). Or you might enjoy her new series "Call of Crows." All of her female characters are alpha and most of them are snarky.
Thanks! I've heard of her, but haven't checked her out yet. Sandra J wrote: "Have you tried Shelly Laurenston? If you don't mind OTT characters, you might like her Pride series (which is finished, I think). Or you might enjoy her new series "Call of Crows." All of her femal..."
Since you've mentioned indie...:D
Veronica Del Rosa's Enforcers and Coterie series is great. (You can grab the first in the series on Instafreebie as of today's date: https://www.instafreebie.com/public/x...)
And I'm a fan of Heather R. Blair's Celtic Elementals series. While I haven't yet checked out her Toil & Trouble series, this one may actually be the best fit for what you're looking for (even though it is 1st person POV).
I tend to prefer 3rd as well. ☺
Happy reading!
I'd recommend anything by Dana Marie Bell, she's a favorite of mine that I go back to often. Mainly because I like her humor and she has a lot of variety. She's helped me get over a number of slumps. Also, if you're a sci-fi buff or Doctor Who fan, check out Alanea Alder, mainly the Bewitched and Bewildered series.
is the first in that series. She is another author I go back to when I feel petered out while reading. But then I am a HUGE sci-fi & Doctor Who fan, so I enjoy those a lot.And as mentioned by Nadia, I also go for Shelly Laurenston for the same reason, as well as her G.A. Aiken alias, but you said no to dragons, so.
I think you might even find some gamma heroes in there for you. I think
might be one.
Thanks, I'll look into them!Rachel wrote: "Since you've mentioned indie...

glad I can help. I get into slumps all the time :P. Sad to say, I have certain go to books for a variety of genres - sometimes that is what I do as well, read a book in another genre, then the next book I pick up seems fresher than the 5 books I read prior to that. Like now, I am reading Detective Conan mainly because although I enjoyed a couple of books, I cannot seem to be able to write the review for them. Anyhow, GOOD LUCK!

I also love Shelly Laurenston/G.A. Aiken and Dana Marie Bell's Halle Shifters. For palate cleansing, I have some go-to authors for light, fluffy fun fic:
Celia Kyle--I'm not that wild about alien fic, but her earlier stuff,
specifically The Quick and the Furry series Chasing Tail Ridgeville He Ain't Lion and the Grayslake series No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It are all fun.
Eve Langlais has a lot, Furry United Coalition seriesFurry United Coalition Bundle, Lion's Pride When an Alpha Purrs and Kodiak Point Kodiak's Claimare my favorites of hers.
Try Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's Accidentally Yours Series. It is full of tons of snarky humor - I think its Mimi Jean's middle name. If you like it she has a follow up series to it called Immortal Matchmakers Inc Series thats good also. Better to read Accidentally Yours Series first though. They are both very funny and very steamy. I think it might be what you are looking for.
HELL YES!! I second Lara's comments about Mimi's accidentally yours and the immortal matchmaker series...because they are GREAT!!!
Dannika Dark is one of my favorite authors. She has 3 series and they are all in the same world. The Seven Series characters has their own books throughout the series. All 3 series are great. All the other books I would recommend follow the same character in the series. :P
Seeing as you are in a rut, permit me to recommend
It is probably unlike any book you have read. Check out the reviews to make up your own mind. It's kinda like marmite, you either like it or you don't
Just found out that the second book in the Harper Hall Investigations series (the sequel to Semi-Charmed) is on sale now for 99 cents. I personally liked this one better than Semi-Charmed. Here's a link if anyone is interested: http://amzn.to/2zttIF9The snark factor was upped by at least 10% from book 1 to book 2!!

-Third-person POV (never seem to have luck with first-person)
-Some good heat
-Humor is essential (the snarkier the better)
-I'll take or leave mystery/violence and fated mates
-Prefer not to follow the same heroine across multiple books
-If there's a beta or gamma hero, I will buy you a kitten and a cake
-I'm flexible with type of paranormal beings, but I'm generally not into stuff like aliens, selkies, or dragons
-Open to indie or traditionally published
I love the early work of Kresley Cole and Lynsay Sands. Authors who haven't worked for me include Jeaniene Frost, Katie MacAlister, Kerrelyn Sparks, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Appreciate the help, thanks!
