Ampersand in search box shows as &

I was searching a specific book series and I noticed that the ampersand (&) was causing the list of suggested titles to show as "&" which looks very odd in the middle of a title.

But after searching the manual and here, I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if the titles are entered incorrectly?

It's two books called Spellsmith & Carver: subtitle 1, subtitle 2

Do you mean & shows as &amp ? That always happens, with titles that are entered correctly.

If you want something to be done about it, you can head over to the Feedback group and make a request (since this has to do with site functionality it is not something librarians can help with). I doubt it will be high on the fix list, though.
