I can't believe how strong Gemma is! She's being so practical, climbing trees to see where she is etc. Ty is seriously creepy, he's being so nice to her even though he's mean, it makes me think he's really really sick :/ Somehow he needs help too.

I like the way this book is written, it's very realistic to me (I really liked one of the first scenes where she's taking her hands down between her legs to see if she's bleeding and if he's raped her, that really made an impact on me). It's a very strong book, and I'm pretty sure it'll not exactly be a joy to read the rest :/ I like it very much so far. (hide spoiler)]

Ok so I was awful, I picked it up again and read it all and now I've finished :)
(view spoiler)[ all I can say is wow this is one of the most powerful pieces I've read and felt really connected to and that shows me the authors writing is brilliant, I'm so glad I joined this and read this book it was merely out of curiosity that I read it but it was out of addiction that I had to complete it. I felt so invested in it since I started that I found it so hard to put down and I love how this was resolved, well kind of resolved I guess as there's still places the author can take this, I would love to really read this whole situation from Ty's perception that would be quite dark and twisted I'm sure but it would be interesting non the less I hope to read more by this author though (hide spoiler)]

I agree. (view spoiler)[It was all in the details for me. The missing period, the Stockholm syndrom, the way she bonded with the camel, her getting more and more desperate while at the same time feeling attracted to Ty etc. (hide spoiler)]

Hi guys... I'm reading this as well just very slowly. I'm about 59% in and liking it so far. I had to look up the genre to see if this was a true story or not.. I'm glad that it is made up though I think it would be better (for me the reader) if it was real.

I actually like how its written in letter form. The perspective is, like you said, very realistic. It also just feels different and fresh. I'm thoroughly enjoying it (thought not the subject matter.)
