There's Babe in Boyland (...which does not start with M), but that might be too recent.
People have looked for similar books before. Michael, you might want to do a search for others seeking this trope. (Over to the right side of the screen as you face the screen is a little box that says "Search discussion posts" type in variations of your search to see who else has asked about similar books.)

What I Was and Gentlemen and Players have boarding schools with girls/women pretending to be men.
Yes unfortunately we have little way to know who moved something to Possibly Solved unless someone leaves a comment saying so. In the present day a mod would not move a thread to PS without the OP's approval, but it's possible this was done in the olden days.
"The olden days." :) I've been a mod for 5 years, but this group is about 13 years old. It's one of the oldest groups on the site.

"In January 2012, Goodreads switched from using Amazon's public Product Advertising API for book metadata (such as title, author, and number of pages) to book wholesaler Ingram. Goodreads felt Amazon's requirements for using its API were too restrictive, and the combination of Ingram, the Library of Congress, and other sources would be more flexible. Some users worried that their reading records would be lost, but Goodreads had a number of plans in place to ease the transition and ensure that no data was lost, even for titles that might be in danger of deletion because they were available only through Amazon, such as Kindle editions and self-published works on Amazon.[52]"
That's a joke! I remember those days. We were told when the database switch would happen, I think it was about a week's notice or so, I believe GR emailed each of us a list of which of our book records were in danger of disappearing, and I frantically went through all of mine making sure the right data was there. If you had a lot of foreign books, they were at especially high risk of the data vanishing. So once I'd done all my books, I tried to help out friends who had large numbers of Russian books, German books, etc. But there was no way to get through all of them in time, and as a result today the database still has large numbers of Unknown books and Unknown authors.
It wasn't just titles available only through Amazon that were at risk such as Kindle and self-pubbed. It was many tens of thousands more.
Then in 2013 Amazon bought GR so it turned out the whole laborious kerfuffle had been for no good reason. It was infuriating.

No response in 5 years, moving to Abandoned. I have no idea why this was in Possibly Solved.
