SOLVED. a guy that died and is now in an Alternate dimension [s]

The Guy dies and instead of gong hell or heaven he's in limbo. I this dimension though apparently there are spirits that they call 'Grey' or 'Gray' which are either bad or good.
I believe the Title is 'The Grey'

What was the "feel" of the book -- mystery, fantasy, horror, literary fiction? Do you remember the main conflict of the book -- was the guy trying to get out of limbo, was he judged by someone, did he have to escape on his own? Does the whole book take place in limbo or just the first part? What did the spirits do -- did they threaten him or try to convince him of something? Was he a spirit too or the only "solid" creature?

It is, actually, but with the other spelling of grey: Gray World :)
