The Perks of Being a Wallflower question

While I am curious about Charlie's future, I find myself glad that the his story ended when it did. It was good closure and I feel that any sequel would never live up to the original's grandeur.

I don't think that it would be a good idea to have a sequel to the book because the whole point of the book is to show how Charlie got out of his comfort zone and had these experiences with his real friends. By the end of the book Charlie has left his life of being a wallflower and has been accepted into a group of people that he loves. So I think having a sequel would defeat the purpose of the whole point of the book.
