When I first read it, I thought it was boring at first and I also wanted to stop. Thankfully I had to read all of it to get extra credit for school or I might not have known how great this trilogy was. This seems to be a common problem with most people who first read it, so when I recommend it I tend to tell people to stick with it even though it seems boring because it gets better. I think the next two books in the trilogy are even better and easier to get into, especially Golden Son. If you want to discuss any particular part of the book or the characters, don't forget that you can go to the other discussion that allows spoilers.
