Oh no, Leslie. It wasn't that your list was long... it was that you had a plethora of amazing books on there...and I want you to have an amazing read!! I hope you love it <3

Yeah! Zombies for me. I put it there because I needed a kick in the butt to get it started. :P So this month's theme is pure fantasy. Zombies and whatever form of fantasy Graceling is.

message 110: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Melinda, I had to go with Rival by Penelope Douglas. Not in the same ballpark as Bully (because that was the ultimate best bully book ever!) but still really good and snarky.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Tessa are you planning on reading Graceling (Graceling Realm #1)
by Kristin Cashore?

message 112: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments YESSSSSS! That is my monthly one word book. It's kind of cheating because I grabbed it as soon as I saw it on sale. It's been in my TBR "want to get" forever. The hardest part now is waiting to read it.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments That's great! I really liked that one.

message 114: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Tapping foot...waiting patiently. Jan, Jan...where are you? Pick for me, pick for me. Hurry....tap, tap, tap. You done yet?

message 115: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments Lisa - think Jan must be in the same place as Kate...waiting for my pick too!

message 116: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
They must be with Anna... LOL! *giggle* We're all shameless, you know that, right?

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

What time is it Australia? Or Jan's part of it?

message 118: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments She is probs still in bed its 7.30am here. Thankyou Tessa I will love that. I haven't read Bully, will put that on my list.

message 119: by Melinda (new)

WHAT!?!?! you haven't read Bully??? You aren't my pick, Melinda... but I'm picking Bully for you this month. *giggle* Because really... you should read the series in order...

message 121: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments My daughter has read it and said it was really good. I will add it now. So many good books and not enough time. MyTBR is exploding. Maryse keeps on putting up these good books that I can't put down I said to her she is going to get me fired from sneaking into the Toilet to read. Hahaha not really but I feel like doing that

Jan (jan130) Melinda wrote: "Jan I pick for you The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott I loved that book. Hope you enjoy when you get up. Hahaha"

I'm up! I'm up! Hey, no poking!

Thank you Melinda! I bought that when it was a bargain price and there were lots of recs. So it's just sitting there waiting for me. :D

I'm just gonna go and look at Lisa's list *rubs hands in glee* This is gonna be fun......

message 123: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Hmmm. Interesting shelf, Lisa. I haven’t read many of them. I see you have a few boxed sets on there. Ambitious. ;)

I HATED This Is War, Baby. Waayyyy too dark for me. (although many liked it) I stalled part way through The Vixen and The Vet. I liked it but somehow have never gone back to finish it. I didn’t really love Eversea.

Sooo, I think I’m gonna choose a book I haven’t read. Ooh. Controversial.

Lisa, for you I pick One Careful Owner: Love Me, Love My Dog One Careful Owner Love Me, Love My Dog by Jane Harvey-Berrick It’s got some mixed reviews, but hey, *the dog* Nuff said. Hope you enjoy it.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments The picks are so much fun!!!

message 129: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments GREY. You haven't read "Slammed" I've read like 3 times. It's Ace. Haha Aussie term.

Paula White | 800 comments Where is Kate???

message 135: by Ela (last edited Aug 01, 2017 04:54AM) (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Where's Jean????

It's obvious some people don't take this challenge very seriously!😳😭🙄

message 136: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments I know Ela! We have to go to the effort to find our own books - I spend ages trawling through my TBR discounting books as I am not in the mood..mind you I really enjoyed Sift by L.D. Davis had it on my wishlist a while and it dropped in price - happy days!

message 137: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Maybe we can PM the "no shows" if we don't hear from them today?

message 138: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Or Paula and I can just pick for each other??? LOL

message 139: by [deleted user] (new)

Nay has a really good excuse, so no pm for her.

message 140: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Ela! I'm sorry I've been MIA! I have only read 1 book from your list, Jellicoe Road. But I am picking Bad Things for you!

message 141: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Leslie, I love that pick and I'm ready to start right now!

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments If we end up with one of you reading LoA and another reading BT This will be a dark, dark place in August.

*secretly fist pumps air*

message 147: by Kate (new)

Kate | 26 comments Eekkk! I'm so sorry! I have been moving and completely forgot it was the end of the month. *covers face in shame*

Please forgive the delay, but I picked The Devil You Know by LA Fiore for you Paula! And thanks for picking the opportunist for me! I've been too chicken to read it before now.

message 148: by Nay (last edited Aug 02, 2017 04:36AM) (new)

Nay (4ukcats) I'm here! I'm SO sorry, bev! I don't even know what day it is! lol Let me check your list.

message 149: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) bev, I'm picking Fighting Redemption by Kate McCarthy

I've read one of Kate McCarthy's books and loved it, but I can't remember which one because I didn't rate it. (It was either this one or her sports romance). Looking forward to seeing what you think because I've been planning to read (or re-read) this!

Nay (4ukcats) Fabi wrote: "Renee you have Enslaved (LoA1) in your list. 😱😱😱

I can't help myself...I have to pick that one for you. But, I'll completely understand if you DNF. I almost did...several times."

Oooh no, Fabi! I won't be DNFing it--For an entire year, I read almost nothing but this type of book. Thank you!!! Hopefully I'll finally have time to read this week!
