Queens of Geek? Meh. It's a freebie I got at RT. I like the pink cover. And it's present tense. I'll read just about anything present tense these days.

"This challenge rocks my face off!!!" Really??? How does that work? like all of your face rocks or falls off?
It makes me smile so big that my face slides clean off my skull....literally, not figuratively. It's really strange :D

OMG Ela - you are too perfect for words. Only you!!!
OK I'm in for August. I'm still struggling with the books from previous months LOL but I wanna do it. I might adjust my list though.
Yeah Melinda! Please post a link to your Pick for Me shelf and I'll post pairs at the end of the month.

I don't know why, but that made me laugh.

No problem Melinda! :-)Here are the original game descriptions.:. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Basically, you'll create a new bookshelf in GR. Your "Pick for Me" shelf. You'll want to add about 20 books to it that you're interested in reading. Then you'll copy the URL from your browser address bar and paste it in a post on this thread. At the end of the month, we'll be randomly put in pairs so that someone will choose a book for you from your shelf and you'll choose a book for someone else from their shelf.
Make sense?
I posted the same time as you. I can teach you how to cook. Bev how to knit really good by the way. But I may just need a little time to work this out. I'ii try and let you know. All good. Don't worry nothing. Wrong with your instructions. Hugs
Melinda, I just looked at your bookshelves. You have 31 books in your to-read shelf. To make it easier, we can just use that shelf for the pick for me game. This is the link to it, so you don't even have to post it. You only have to come back at the end of the month to see who you will be picking a book for. And to find out which book was picked for you.
Will that work for you? Here's your shelf:

I love this, Fabi. You can totally tell you are a teacher.
Melinda, i think it would be fun to knit...especially socks. I'm boring like that, i love socks.

Thankyou Fabi, but I think I am working it out. I can add to to read shelf too. That would work great and in the mean time i'ii try and get it right.
Might have to Skype to teach you. Or Facebook messenger as you have to see. Fabi is great. And I didn't know you were a teacher.
Melinda, I'd love for you to play the game with us. It's so much fun!I'm not actually a teacher. I'm CIO of my current company and was VP of Information Systems for 15 years before this one. I have BA in computer science and business and a Master's in Information Systems. I occasionally help out at local junior colleges as an adjunct professor in computer science.
All that just to say that sometimes what I think is easy peasy, may be a big learning curve for someone else. I'm ALWAYS more than happy to help out with tech stuff! I'll send you a message so you can reply in private.

...... Um, like, wow, Fabi. Colour me impressed.
Jan, just to un-impress you. I can't boil an egg. My mother still sews my buttons. And...I don't have a single artistic bone in my body.
Melinda, on the other hand, can write out her own recipes by memory. Not to mention actually cook them.
Believe me, the jealousy is all on my end. ;-)
Haha. We all have our strengths. (and weaknesses LOL). And hey, it's not that easy to boil an egg anyway without cracking the shell.
There's. nothing impressive here. I assure you. You've done all the impressing here. Cooking is easy compared to this.
