I love the short chapters, and Locke really seems adorable, in his own way. And I like the writing! It's poetic, sort of, and witty! (hide spoiler)]

I was mistaken yesterday, I didn't read the first 7 chapters. I just read the sub-chapters from 1 to 7 in the prologue!

Chapter 1 - Interlude (view spoiler)[I love the writing and the dialogues! They are so witty and so full of irony, in a sort of gentlemen way!
I like the characters so far, maybe not so much Jean, but it's just that he's the character who talk the less. I love the twins, Bug seems cute and Locke is simply fantastic!
And the author really love to let we poor reader to hang for more! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2 - Interlude (view spoiler)[I think I love more the Interludes, I am more interested in Locke's childhood than in his adulthood, even if the con they are doing in the present is really complicated, convoluted and risky as hell. I do not know why I prefer the past, it's not that the present is boring, but I am not so fascinated by it.

Chapter 3 - Interlude (view spoiler)[Their con is really complicated, and I am not understanding why they have to go through all that to steal from Don Salvara, but I trust Locke in this one! ;)
And they are really organized, it's amazing!

I like the name "The Last Mistake", is really evocative! And Nazca and Capa Barsavi are interesting, I hope to see more of them on the next pages! (hide spoiler)]

chapter 4- interlude-Chapter 5- Interlude (view spoiler)[ Capa Barsavi is really frightened and it's not a good thing, but when he said to Locke that he can court his daughter I was almost laughing. Not that Nazca and Locke wouldn't be a good couple, I think that they can be great together but I do not think that they are romantically inclined to each other. But I like Locke aplomb, he doesn't take the new so bad!

Tha part in the present is more fast paced and full of action, in his own ways, but I continue to prefer the part in the past. I loved how Locke succeeded to solve the corpse problem and how he found a way to recover the money they spent for the con. It was hilarious!

I do not like the Grey King and his Bondsmage. They really are dangerous and I do not think that Locke would come up well from this two. I am fearing for him and for his companions. I love them all and the enemies really are the bad guys!

chapters 6-11 (view spoiler)[ I do not know but I love the parts about their past, and I also like the present parts in which there is Capa Barsavi or the Gray King, even if I am not particularly fond of them, but I just found boring the Salvara's parts, even if they are not boring, because the con is pure genius and also the part with the Spider are really ingenious, so I do not know why I do not like them, it's just so.

And I am really sad for Calo, Galdo and Bug!!! I was really hoping to see all of them through the end!!! (hide spoiler)]

I've read the prologue. Not entirely sure what I think so far. The switches in time are interesting, and Locke seems like he will be an interesting character, but nothing has really caught my attention that well.

They're really long, but they're split into like mini chapters? Like chapter 1 had like 8 sections to it, and some of those are only a few pages long. Then there are interludes between each chapter which aren't very long.

I finally started!
(view spoiler)[ Yah, I was worried for Bug's life a bit in there. This book definitely seems like the type to kill a character just to laugh when the readers appalled, but I like that vibe, it's not all fluff like so much that I read. I honestly wasn't expecting Bug to be intelligent, I think it's because of the name, but I'm actually impressed he ad the ingenuity to think and hide in the barrel. That's a scene right out of the hobbit! I'm liking this so far, but it isn't hard to tell who's narrating at times (hide spoiler)]
