Francesca | 36 comments Hello! So, I have a bit of a situation here: I own an Italian edition of the Song of Roland and searching by the ISBN I got this edition as a result: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9.... However, this edition is much older than the one I have and wanting to add a cover I didn't want to just add the cover of my edition because it's probably a different one. So I followed the instructions on this thread https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/8... and created a new edition (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) leaving the ISBN field blank.
So first of all I wanted to ask if I did the right thing, and if a Librarian could add the note that this is an alternate-cover edition. And secondly I wanted to know if it's still possible to combine my edition to the other Song of Roland editions.
I hope this was clear enough and that one of you can help me!

(A little note, just so it's not too confusing: BUR and Rizzoli are the same publisher)

Because it's against the rules. I suggest you read the librarian manual: https://www.goodreads.com/librarian_m...

Francesca | 36 comments Thank you Catalina, that was really quick! :D

ℳatthieu (mcra) | 57 comments @Caralina: I read the manual a few times ;) I thought that the book's title was not good.
I mean, you can have a same ISBN with different cover. For example: you see that the book you own has not the cover that the one on GR so in that cas, you can create another book. But here you cover was missing, how to be sure that it is really a "2nd"?
Hope you got my view here ;)

Edited 1st book to add cover:

How sure are you that's the cover of the '93 edition? Of what I see around is the cover of the '85 edition. Are you 100% sure they are the same?

And I don't understand how can one believe a '93 edition with a different name can be the same with a 2013 edition and instead of creating an alternate cover edition alter an existing one!

ℳatthieu (mcra) | 57 comments This seems from '85 indeed. My apologizes.
