SOLVED. Fantasy- Woman transported into another world - Title may have the words Thorn, Iron. [s]

I had only just started this book when I tossed it aside for some long awaited titles. I've since lost a move or two ago. It was mass market and judging by the time frame I owned it would have been published before 2005. The cover had a woman standing with her hand outstretched and her dress billowing. I believe the author was female.

Nope. I had been years ago and many books back, I listed everything I could manage to remember. I did, however, somehow remember the authors name and worked from there. JV Jones' The Barbed Coil.
(Alphabet of Thorn is on my list of reads!!)
