Sci-Fi/Fantasy with Romance Sub-plot

So I am more looking for books on Audible rather than just any book, but I will take any suggestions. I just mainly listen to books while at work. Anyways! I am 21, Male (Not sure if it matters just want to give you an idea of the mind set I have) that prefers books with any kind of a story from Swords and Magic, Guns and Tanks, Government assassinations, OR Space ships destroying Planets! What I'm trying to say is that I can read pretty much anything that would meet under the genres of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and even though I have yet to find a book that I would qualify as "Steam Punk", I am really looking for some.
I merely just have one condition, (unless the story is just that good) I prefer books with a Solid under current of ROMANCE! Most of my searches always end up leading to multiple books with front pictures of huge buff dudes holding a white flower or something... Not exactly what I'm looking for. Nor am I really into any love triangle romances ( they just really piss me off and make me feel like I am wasting my time) or those super sad endings that just break the soul (remember I don't want to be caught balling my eyes out at my machine while my manager just stares at me. I already get enough trash talk for when they catch me just staring at nothing). I just like a really solid story and a romantic under current weaving through the story all the while.
Book Examples: !!!WARNING!!! This is all based off my opinion so apologies if I offend someone because I don't like a book they worship.
Best Examples-
The Final Empire - I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy! The Action was Solid and the story line kept me on my toes. The romance was a little on the light side but I found it still enjoyable.
The Name of the Wind - Defiantly in my top 5! Loving pretty much everything about the story so FAR, am thrilled and can't wait for whenever the 3rd with arrive. Romance in this one is also a little to YA but it keeps developing which makes it alright and I still got another book to read of it.
Kushiel's Scion - Sooooo.... overall I would call this one a curve ball if the rest are fast balls. boobies... anyway! I think that Carey Jacqueline is one of the most creative and intriguing writers of light fantasy (if you would call it that?). I just thoroughly enjoyed the governmental side of the story and also the struggles of the main character. Romance was pretty kinky... (also I started the first trilogy but couldn't finish it for the fact that I just couldn't get into main character even though i loved her in this trilogy.
The Curse of Chalion - I don't think anything really needs to be said. I am normally not a fan of one book stories for I normally find myself wanting more back story. But I absolutely loved everything about this book! ( just wish the romance could have had a little more time to grow instead of the kinda forced way it came out) overall loved it!
Paladin of Souls - *laziness* refer to above Review for Review of Paladin of Souls.
The Way of Kings - Brandon Sanderson is probably my overall favorite writer. His world building is something that I truly fell in love with throughout both of the incredible books of this trilogy. I can't wait for the third book coming out soon either. on the level of romance though, there wasn't really any (yet). But I think this is the perfect example of a Book trilogy that just was that good it didn't really need it.
Red Rising - I thoroughly enjoyed this book for its Fantasy/Sci-Fi World alone. I loved how much different both the first book was compared to the second two. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line and Time of which the book took place. Overall the romance in this series wasn't bad, it was just a little light on what I would prefer. I have been trying to find more books that meet more of the spaceship/space travel genre standards, but other than Red Rising, I have yet to find one.

Good Examples-
A Warrior's Path - The creativeness of the world I enjoyed a lot. I wish more was discussed on what was happening elsewhere around the world, but I still found it overall enjoyable. Romance was nice and filling, though I would have enjoyed more of something actually happening.
Blood Song - Absolutely loved this trilogy! This action was honestly some of my favorite, for the fact that I could easily see it come together inside my noggin. The romance was overall kinda spotty which left me a little wanting at time but overall the wars made up for it!
Mage Slave - Overall, the first two books of this trilogy weren't bad. I enjoyed the adventure of them traveling all the way back to the mage tower and all, but I never truly felt like understood the world. It always felt like I was just listening to another story instead of actually being able to picture the world around me. Also, I didn't much care for the fact that I felt like every time something finally started to go wrong, there was a way to get out of it all to quickly instead of actually testing the main characters. Not one of the worst books I read, but not one of the best either.
Free the Darkness - My first two audible book's were of this trilogy and from what I remember, I enjoyed the story line as it unfolded. Some of my other books I've read do this to, but this book just goes a little to over board with just how epic you can be. I get the whole raised from birth to be the ultimate fighter and all, but every time he gets put into one of the scenario's were he probably shouldn't be able to get out of it, he does. I am just not a fan of when the main character is literally capable of saving everyone, when that just isn't realistic. Overall though, I did enjoy the first two of the trilogy.
Bad Examples-
The Ladies of Mandrigyn - I cant really say much for this book seeing as how the moment I started the Audible version and turned it off for it was the absolute worst thing I had ever heard... If you have listened to it you know. If you haven't, you've been warned.
A Court of Thorns and Roses - So I only read the first book of this trilogy and ended up looking up information on what happens later on in the story and found out it had one of them love-triangle scenarios and it wasn't worth it to me.
Furies of Calderon - I read about half the book and couldn't really get into the book and ended up putting it down.
Sailing to Sarantium - Was a very very difficult book to keep up with on the audible version alone. I read like the first two chapters and had no idea what was happening and ended up just not reading it. I heard a lot of good things about it, but it was just to confusing.
