I read a book about two best friends in the late 70's or early 80's that I got from my grandma. I believe it was an older book when I read it; possible published in the 1960's. The plot was about two best friends who lived in New York City. One of them moved to a fancy high rise across town and got new friends. The friend left behind had to make new friends and also had a grandma that was considered "weird" because she rode bikes. I thought the title was "Best Friend" or "Best Friends" but I can'f find it anywhere.

This is actually set in Cleveland, but everything else matches - the friend moving away and getting new friends and the grandma.
That's it! Thank you. I just looked it up on Amazon and saw the original cover art that I remember.
