do you think Daemon counts as an 'abusive boyfriend' in the lux series?

I personally don't think so, but do you think Daemon counts as an 'abusive boyfriend' in the lux series?

He may not be physically abusive but he does verbally abuse her a lot. He is basically the type of guy you should never get involved with.
So what if he looks good? His personality is terrible.
Yes, he does count as an abusive boyfriend. Just because he isn't hitting her doesn't mean he isn't abusive. Their relationship is absolutely unhealthy and Katy should've never gotten involved with him.

Daemon is love!! He is perfect. He is selfish in a way that makes him lovable. He cared for his siblings like a mother although they were of the same age. Their safety had always been his main concern. And when he fell in love with Katy, he counted her as his own.
He did talk with ill manners with her just to keep her away from Dee but we all know he never left her in danger of proved one for her!

I think to be stuck in a situation where people he's loved have died and more people that he loves can die, it's understandable to have the same feelings that Damon has. He is rude to Katy at first because he doesn't want her getting his family into issues, but he starts protecting her because she can die. Whether he just likes her or he already loves her, Damon doesn't just want her getting killed.
Also it's a fiction book set in a world that isn't real. Damon has killed people, Katy has killed people, so I think it's hard to really say that they have an unhealthy relationship because they have literally killed people. If we wanted to morally judge the book, then the killing would be the bigger issue. Like I said, it's fiction and not a contemporary set in real time, so I don't think there is anything truly "unhealthy" in their relationship
