Ok Just started this book, but let me say that this is very freaking creative!!! Loving it so far!

James' brothers seem like they are a bit of a jerk, i mean I can understand them being a bit overbearing because he tried to kill himself but sheesh,

Ok This is starting to feel a bit wierd
(view spoiler)[ so now Helen is Jenny and she lives with a incredibly religious family, I am feeling kinda cultish about them but we shall see.
Helen though is not that demure about sleeping with James as they do in the theater of all places. I am concerned as to what Jenny's parents are going to do when they find out she has a lover and that he is not part of the church.
Why does the father treat the mother that way, like everything Jenny does wrong is directly the mothers fault. Its so weird. (hide spoiler)]

Opening chapter. I know we can't have everything dumped on us initially, but I'm not sure how the Lights come into existence (or whatever you'd call it). Also curious about the boy who can see our narrator.

Up to ch11. The family Helen has ended up in are restrictive, and horribly judgmental. Hope we're not going to get too much of this.

Finished. Review on home page. Certainly not quite what I expected, and there were some lovely moments. Elements were quite disturbing, and I'm not entirely comfortable with it...but it was certainly unique.

Jenny's father is a hypocrite because he claims to be this religious person and then he has an affair with another woman. I give this a 2.75/5 stars. (hide spoiler)]
