SOLVED. Hero hires heroine to be house keeper... [s]

Romance novel where Hero hires heroine to be house keeper. He owns /runs a ranch. She is hiding from troubled past or abusive ex...maybe. The main thing I remember is that he has her hold onto a family pocket watch...can't really remember why. When she gives it back later he freaks thinking she was leaving but she didn't need it to feel secure??

Thanks for helping...but it's not that book. I know it was a book I bought at a Safeway or Fred Meyer's, so a mass market. Really the only part I am 100% sure of is the pocket watch.
Did get Saving Grace since it was free.
