Wow, giy just got through reading the list of Authors planning to attend BookBananza.....and it's insane!!! Ladies I feel like all my favorite people will be there!!

I know I was checking it out on facebook and I'm totally going to plan to make the trip!!! All my favorite authors will be there! It's funny too because there is a GRL (M/M Romance authors) this October also in Denver Colorado and it has ALL of my favorite M/M Romance authors attending. I had already asked my husband if we can go. Now this will be two Denver trips and even though book bananza is next year, I think I'm going to have to choose between the two. :/ I really want to go to both, but I don't know if I can convince my husband to do both of them. hahaha Wait maybe I could do one with my husband and one with my daughter!!! :D

I really want to go, but I'm on the east coast. I'm trying to figure out if I can go. The tickets are$107 each and with that author list it is so worth it.

I want to go, but I have no real life book friends (at least ones that are as obsessed with reading as I am) and I think my husband may think its weird if I took a trip to Denver by myself...We live in Ohio, so it would be a long trip...hmmm maybe I can plan next years vacation to Denver, we've never been there. I guess I need to start dropping hints on how good of travel destination Denver is...and then it can just be a coincidence that the book conference is going on when we are there :)

Karen I have the same problem!!! I have no real life book friends!! My friends that do read...don't really oay attention and definitely aren't bookaholics like us!!! Ireally want to go to. They are guesstimating tickets to be sold out within the hour of release!!

Ok, so on the side I am also reading .....this is a Kindle in Motion book.....this is so freaking cool guys!!! Have you read a Kindle in Motion???? It has photos, GIFs, of the actual characters doing things from the scene you are currently reading!!! Very different but I like it!!

I have never heard/seen of this! I am intrigued to say the least! I'm going to go check other kindle in motion books out!

Update: After checking it out, it really reminds me of those books from the Harry Potter movies (you know with the moving characters on the cover). Still trying to find one that I may want to read!

Second Update: I'm kinda afraid that this may make the book seem like a cheesy hallmark movie...I dunno, I'm still going to try one...Let me know what you think Barb!

Haha, Karen you are so funny!!! The story itself is okay I mean I like it for sure, but now thay you mention it it does have a Harry Potter feel. The good thing is its not every page or even every chapter...it is random, so when it does happen it is kinda fun. So far so good. I'll keep you updated!!

I'm a little frustrated! I have 5 library books that I have been on the wait-list for months that just became available to me on OverDrive and we leave for vacation next week! My overdrive only checks books out for a 3 week period so this is a serious problem! I'll be busy the week prior to vacation working on my Master's program and packing and then I don't read as much while on vacation (I still read, let's be serious, but just not as much). LOL Bookworm problems. I seriously get aggravated though when you have like 10 books on hold and nothing is available for months and then all of a sudden you get like 5 books at one time! Ahh!

I love reading the trails and tribulations of us readers!! I feel your frustration, 5 all at once with not enough time to read is just NOT fair. Though how exciting you have a vacation coming up. What are you doing?

Yes I am very excited for the vacation! We live in Ohio and we are flying to Orlando, taking a 4-Day Disney Cruise to the Bahamas and then hanging out in Orlando/Cape Canaveral Area for a few days. We aren't doing Disney World (because we spent so much money on the cruise), but we may do one of the Disney Water Parks and we are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel so the kids can get the Disney feel and we plan on going to Disney Springs (shopping/entertainment area in Orlando). We've been to the amusement parks 2 times already so the kids won't feel like they are missing out. I am very excited! I know missing out on reading time is a small sacrifice, but it still irritates me as a reader!

Sounds absolutely fantastic!! A Disney Cruise will be the best of both worlds. Sooooo much fun for the kids, but plenty of fun for the parents too and the Bahamas are beautiful. :D Enjoy!!

Okay so here is my Kindle/e-reader hack for my overdrive problems.....ready....

Step 1. Download all the books you can...I mean kindles books too everything you want on your tablet/kindle
Step 2. Turn off your wi-fi on said tablet(you will no longer be able to download more books while doing this hence step 1)
Step 3. Go to your tablet setting and for date and time. Then rest exactly one year. So now your tablet believes it is 2016....

I know this is crazy but I have this same problem so often I had to find a hack. Now as long as you do not turn tour wifi back on you have those library books on your tables for 365+ whatever actual days....LOL... The library will automatically take them back when they are due from your account. So if you check it from your phone, you are good. However you will still have your copies as long as you stay off the grid....

Barb you are my new favorite person! That is such a useful hack! Years ago I used to just be able to turn the Wifi off but I knew that stopped working...so as long as reset the date to a year ago, it will work? That is too cool!

I'm back to work this week ladies! So sad to see the end of the summer and return to the real world, but someone has to make some money to pay for all the books I read :) Too bad the job cuts into a big chunk of my reading time. Right now I'm just to tired to read anything, between getting my two kiddos read for school, helping with homework, getting my own classroom and students ready, actually teaching, and doing my masters classes, I'm exhausted. Hopefully I can find time to read soon!

The beginning of the year is always rough, but that's because it is an adjustment. I'm still in summer vacation mode, and I need to switch modes ASAP. I'll get there but man this is rough!
