Random Thoughts

Oh no, Susan! So sorry to hear that! I hope things are going better now. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Looks like a cute quick read! Thanks!!

Argggghhh!!! I just went to purchase
and Kindle is $10.99 and the paperback is $7.41. That just irks me!!! And I buy a lot of Kindle books and sometimes I add the narration because I love to listen to the book while I go for a walk or clean the house. Let's face it I probably wouldn't put the book down and go for a walk if I didn't have the narration on some books. LOL Even the cost to add the narration is only discounted by .91 cents. Really, I definitely won't add narration. A lot of books you can add narration for only $2.99, so for me I think it's worth it. Just venting, I still bought the Kindle version, because I prefer it.

Eek!!! I hate when that happens, but you are right if it wasn't on Kindle you would probably spend the day in the couch....Lok I totally would!! I got my copy from the library

That's awful Susan! I'm happy to hear things are slowly getting better. Moving sucks especially in your situation. Not a fun reason to move.

Thank you so much, Barb!! I will definitely check it out. :D

I love the overdrive app, but it bugs me that I can't have my ebooks downloaded onto multiple devices using this app. Does anyone else have this problem? For example, if I download an EBOOK from my library via the app on my kindle, I can't also download it onto my phone. It says that the book has all ready been downloaded onto another device. Does anyone know a way around this? It may just be the Ohio Digital Library too...I usually read 2 books when I read on overdrive because of this (no big deal, I can handle that)

So I loved Amy A. Bartol!!! Brennus is my favorite bad boy of all time!!! Well when Amy was all set to write the last book in the premonition series Iniquity, she just stopped!!!! Like she literally wrote a whole other series 3 freaking books a TRILOGY!!! While the rest of us hung on by a thread waiting to see the fates of Eve Brennus and about 20 other deeply loved charachters!!! 3 years!!! we waited 3 years for her to come back to the story.....while she won award after award for the Kricket Series........I decided then about 1 and a halve years ago I would Never read that series....just to spite her!............. but I really needed a book that started with a "U"....... and the dumb thing was on Kindle Unlimited......what was I suppose to do!!!! I had to suck it up and read just the first one!!!! cheese and crackers....... I forgot what a great freaking writer she is and while I am still upset with her for leaving Brennus in the wind ....I have to hand it to her....in 48 hours I devoured the whole freaking Kricket trilogy.....and I loved every minute of it!!!
Oh, Barb. I hate when that happens! I did that with the Ricci's Addicted series. 9 books later... So I feel for you!

I totally hate when that happens, it's happened to me a few times
OH my Barb, I totally feel your pain. I hate when an author leaves you hanging, but I'm glad you enjoyed her other series.
I'm so upset right now from
. This book is consuming my thoughts and I hate that it is and feel like it doesn't deserve to. I really didn't like the book at all, but the writing was good. Reminds me of how I felt after reading So Much More. It took me a few days to rate it and I feel like that with this book. Plus, it's making it hard for me to select my next book. I'm in book coma....hahahaha

@ Chris....I hate when that happens too...a good author but not so good story will mess up my rating system everytime!!!
Chris, I read Corinne Michaels Say You Want Me and that cleared up my Author Anonymous issues. ;) I would say pick something funny.
Non book related but my daughter (8) just asked me if Santa was real because some kids at school said he wasn't. I wasn't ready for the question! I should have been since she's 8, but I wasn't. So when she asked in tears, all I could say was to ask her what she wanted to believe. She said she that Santa was real, so I told her she could believe what she wanted. Now I'm questioning my own judgement. I probably should have just told her. My husband is going to think I'm dumb!

I don't think what you said was dumb at all!! My husband went to great lengths to keep our kids believing until they were older 10-12. They knew from all their friends talk that there probably wasn't a Santa, but we did little things that kept them thinking maybe and they were afraid maybe if they didn't then there wouldn't be presents. It makes Christmas a little more magical for kids. I think you said the perfect thing your daughter still wants to believe and she should!

This book is amazing! And I agree I loved all the developing love stories. And some are not what you expect at the beginning of the book.
