Vega_girl | 6624 comments So I just started Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan ....so I'm turning the pages....cover....blah blah blah......copyight...blah blah blah......unmentionables for all eternity........wait what......so I go back and these are the exact words...
Those who upload this work up on any site without the author's express permission are pirates and have stolen from the author. As such, those persons will likely end up in a level of hell where little devils shove stolen books into said persons' unmentionable places for all eternity. Ye' ve been warned....

I cant stop laughing!!!!

Ashley Random question! Does anyone have any suggestions for a contemporary that is set in the fall/ have a halloween vibe to it? Fall is my favorite and I know I am planning a little ahead... My fingers are crossed that Stephanie Perkins will maybe have one more anthology that will be Fall themed!

I loved Ginger Scott's Waiting on the Sidelines (Waiting on the Sidelines, #1) by Ginger Scott and The Hard Count by Ginger Scott . They're kind of fall-ish with football themes.

I came across Crazy, Sexy, Ghoulish A Halloween Romance by G.G. Andrew but it's a novella. Sounds interesting though!

Vega_girl | 6624 comments So here is my deal......I have Kindle Unlimited..I also have an Amazing library that literally buys 99% of the books I recommend....so I tend to not buy books as often as I used too....I will read them in the library then if I deam them worthy I will purchase them so I can come back to them.....I am also very cheap so when I saw that It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover was 7.99 I was ecstatic that my library got it and I was first on the list!!!... I just finished it....and then I turned around and bought it!! It was that good that I wanted to own it so I could share it with as many people as possible!!!! This book is seriously a must read for everyone...totally worth every penny and then some!!!

Opinion time:
I've got Mrs. Kennedy and Me An Intimate Memoir by Clint Hill from the library. It's a memoir written by the secret service agent assigned to Mrs. Kennedy during JFK's presidential years. I know it would count as Autobiography for the year long challenge, but I really want to count it as a political memoir, because I don't think I'd enjoy any other political memoirs. Is that to much of a stretch??

I think it's perfect! It's political and a memoir -- totally fits the bill.

Erika | 9482 comments So I'm going to complain a little bit...I HATE this whole series business. What I mean is can I know whether this is actually a series that I will need to read all books because it's the same story and charecters for all the books. I'm sick of these "series" that are really stand alones. Some you don't need to read all the books, some it's "recommended " you read them in order. What happened to good old fashioned single books? Now don't kill me I do love trilogies, just not series where there's lots me 10 books. Maybe I don't want to make that big of a commitment. My problem is once I start a series I feel the need to read the whole thing...most times I read them begrudgingly and that's just not fun. Okay I'm done lol

I get what you're saying. It's getting hard to distinguish series with connected books and those with related books. I think of series as books that are connected in any way, but those with continuing stories I think of as duologies, trilogies, sagas, etc. I actually like series with s with related characters. BUT the more books I read, the less I feel committed to finishing a series. Once it goes past 6 books, they can get repetitive or just boring.

I totally get what you're saying. I really am a stand alone reader. I read an occasional trilogy, but I have a ton of them started and not finished. (shame on me) So these series that go one forever I hate when one of the books in the middle interests me more than the first couple and I'm not sure if I can just read the one book or not! I'm sure authors do it to keep you reading their books, but I can't tell you how often I see a book of interest, but then see it's book #1 in a series and I don't bother to read it. It's that stand alone reader in me. So I think authors need to be clearer whether it is really a series or not.

I do the same thing, many times I just pass on a book because of the whole series thing.

Ugh, I wish they wouldwould just call them what they are...spin-offs....there is nothing wrong with them....I love them!! But yeah I agree it be nice if its a true series as in all the same characters lable it a series, but if its a spin off then say its a spin off!!
