You might have a problem when you are packing for a weekend camping trip and you pack:
- Your regular Kindle for outdoor reading (you need the antiglare screen)
- Your kindle Fire for night time reading (you need that backlight)
-Chargers for both and both are loaded with books (no WIFI in the forest :)
-5 paperback books just in case something happens and I can't use the kindles or the books aren't down loaded, etc. (I need a selection, who knows what I'm going to be in the mood for!)

And we are leaving Friday evening and will be back Sunday Morning -so not even 48 hours!

My husband just shakes his head and smiles :)

I am so with you!!! Honestly I have done the same thing many times. Trips to the cabin at the lake reading (no WiFi or phone service) is a must and packing kindles and books is a high priority!! Us readers must be prepared!!! :D Enjoy your camping trip!

We had a great time camping. I was able to read Some Kind of Perfect (Calloway Sisters, #4.5; Addicted, #3.5) by Krista Ritchie which is the conclusion to the Addicted/Calloway sisters series and it was almost 700 pages long, so I was happy with that. I think I'm going to take my kids to see Finding Dory this week...has anyone else went to see it?

I completely understand! I only have a Kindle Paperwhite, but I make sure I have it and a paperback in case something weird happens when I go camping! Have fun! :)

Oops! Just noticed that I totally missed this and it was this past weekend! LOL. Sorry!

Summer in AZ sucks. I remember staying inside during the day and only going out at night. The hottest I experienced was 118, so I totally get it. Ick! You need to make a trip to WA. It's been kind of rainy or overcast and between 65 and 75 lately.

That's awesome! I think it's supposed to rain/thunderstorm on Thursday but it should be in the low 70s this weekend. Do you guys have fun stuff planned? There's so much to do. I live about 30 minutes south of the airport.

Lol. Nope. Not one in Seattle. Nor is there a Voodoo Donut. There's Top Pot, though. It's definitely worth a car ride and I would be down, but I'm not sure Chris wants to ditch her friends if they only meet up once a year!

Okay so I've got to brag on my husband...first of all my lovely husband never tells me no when it comes to buying books, but I limit myself and use resources like booklending.com/lendle.me/the local library for ebooks and physical books. I do buy books when I want them, but let's be real...my spending could be SO much worse. Our 11 year anniversary is on Saturday and he told me to buy as many books as I wanted for our anniversary. He said, "I know it's not a surprise, but you need to pick them out." How awesome is he? Love him!

message 2783: by Susan (new)

Susan Wow thats awesome Karen!!!

So how many? Ten, fifteen?? Lol

And I finally decided on my anniversary books :) I picked out 3 and had to share (I bought paperback books so I can take them to the beach next month). I got:

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid Unbreak My Heart (Unbreak My Heart, #1) by Nicole Jacquelyn and Orange The Complete Collection 1 by Ichigo Takano

The first is by an author I adore, the second is a new release that more than likely will make me bawl my eyes out (it's a military romance too and you all know how I love those) and the last has to be read in paperback form because it's a manga, that I have heard incredible things about (I've only ever read one other manga...)

message 2789: by Erika (new)

Erika | 9482 comments So I read One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid and it was a 5* for me...can't wait to see what you think. I have Unbreak My Heart (Unbreak My Heart, #1) by Nicole Jacquelyn on my TBR list so please share what you think. I love reading at the beach...it's the best.

I've been through Memphis on the way to Mississippi. I went and saw Elvis' Graceland. It was kind of cool. And my husband was in Nashville this past fall. He loved it. He said there is a ton of live music to check out.

message 2796: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Probably Nashville, but like I said its kinda just get in the car and see what we see....no real plan!!

message 2797: by Erika (new)

Erika | 9482 comments I've only ever gone to Graceland...I enjoyed it and surprisingly my kids liked it. He had cool cars, a plane, horses...but to be honest it was cool but not something I'd say is a must do, unless you have some real Elvis fans

message 2798: by Erika (new)
