It's usually the last book I read so I can remember what happened if asked. But sometimes I just admit to what I am reading.

I teach middle school and we have SSR time every day (silent sustained reading) and during that time the teachers are supposed to model reading habits to the kids, so I get to read (my favorite time of the day). Which is a good idea, because a lot of our students come from homes where reading isn't valued and this way they see ADULTS that like to read. I always get asked what I am reading...if it's a YA novel I fess up, but I usually pick the Selection series or Divergent or Holes or something else middle grade appropriate :)

If it was just a regular movie I probably would have liked it .....but saying it was the Duff ..and then going completely off course....this is why I find it so hard to want my favorite books turned to movies...it puts the book in the same shallow light the movie was in...*smh*

So I usually I read a book before I see it in theaters, but I really wanted to see and wasn't motivated to read the book. So, against my norm., I went to see the movie. While I really did enjoy the movie, it was no . My problem though is that I became invested in the story line. I feel in love with Evan Walker (ladies he is totally hot!!!!). I left that theater wanting a sequel, there were so many things left unanswered, and you all know how frustrating that is. SO, this morning I went online to see the possibilities of them making a second movies, I didn't find much except how it didn't do as well as The series. Now, I've seen all of these series and in my opinion, was my least favorite (I think you guys all know why, the last book made me lose my love for this series, so when I watched the movies I could not love it because I knew how it all ended). Anyway, I just had to rant to people who actually understand my pain. So, lastly all this has done now is force me to read this series. I HAVE to know how this ends, so Mr. Rick Yancey, you will now get my money quicker due to the possible lack of sequel.

Definitely different I think the only thing they got similar is the names LOL but I enjoyed the movie

Same as you, Erika. I didn't watch the movie because I'm waiting to see if I get motivated enough to start reading the books so I guess now I would just read the books if I'll feel frustrated from the movie

Yea, they should of never said that the movie Duff was from the book, because while it was a cute movie it was a complete failure as an adaptation.

When I was watching Duff movie, I commenting to my boyfriend that this and that totally different from the book!

I'm so disappointed that Duff movie so different from the book. :(
