Funny story:
My husband has been complaining that he didn't know what to get me for Christmas, so when we dropped by the book store at the mall the other day (we can't leave without at least dropping by to say hi to the books), I repeatedly said, "I want this one", "I need this one", I haven't read that one", "Ohh, this looks good" and the whole time the husband is standing beside me and acting like he is listening to me.
Later, as we are walking out to the car, he said, "Babe, I still don't have any clue what to get you for Christmas." I was like, REALLY? SMH - but oh how I do love that man!

This also happens to me all the time. I don't think my husband wants to feed my reading addiction!

I feel really lame. I got excited today when I noticed that my library system's Overdrive e-book catalog has a new feature. I can now "recommend" books. It looks like to me it's their way of seeing who is interested in what books. It allows me to recommend them and ask to be put on the holds list if the title becomes a digital library book!

Do not feel lame because I use that like nobodies business!!!! They actually get the books you recommend fairly quickly too!!

I started watching The Royals last night via amazon prime - and I love it! If you haven't seen it, it's a scripted show from E! that follows a fictional Royal family. It makes me want to binge watch it (i've only watched 2 episodes). It also makes me want to read The Royal We by Heather Cocks and The Heir and the Spare by Emily Albright

Erika | 9482 comments So my grown children are nerds so of course we went last night to see Star Wars...OMG so awesome. I hate that we have to wait for the next one...it's going to kill me.

But during the previews they showed one for The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey , I am so reading this for my 2016 challenge and seeing the movie. It looked soooooooo good. Has anyone read this??

message 2232: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Me too!!! I saw the preview for it during the Mocking Jay!! I started it and within the first 2 chapters I was hooked, but I had to stop finish the challenges!!

We should buddy read it next year....preferably before the movie release!
