Off topic, but does anyone subscribe to kindle unlimited? I all ready do amazon prime...but that limits you to only one book a month...does anyone else have at or had it and thinks its worth it?

I downloaded all the More Than Him books because they are all kindle unlimited...So basically this month I have alreday paid for it in the books I have recieved...Its more of a Netflix for books...which I did not know. Happy belated Thanksgiving all! I didn't have to hide and read, I read in front of everyone, because that is expected of me :) (I wasn't too antisocial though).

On another note: Barnes and Noble had a code today for 30% off one item today -so I, being a good girl, used it to purchase gift for my brother (the new Harry Potter Illustrated edition, which I want!) Well that brought my price down to $19-- and free shipping was at $25 so I told my husband that it justified a book purchase - so I bought After (After, #1) by Anna Todd and paid $27--. It made sense to me :) My husband was skeptical!

Happy belated Thanksgiving! I only got to read a little on the 3.5 hour ride over to my in-laws, but oh well!

I bought a couple of Kindle deals...

message 2176: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments @ Karen, that seems perfectly reasonable to me...I dont think husbands quite understand book logic math....LOL!!!

Yay, for good deals Deanna!!

I am knocking them out of the park I have already finished 2 book for my 2015 challenge.....and I think I might have a chance!!

message 2177: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments On a side note it rained ICE all day yesterday....so a lot of trees came crashing down, none on our house though! But our whole town is out of power and a good portion of OKC!! We are good though we have a generators....

Well that's no fun! We had an ice storm like that a few years ago. They suck. :( Hope things get back to normal quickly!

message 2179: by Chris (new)

Chris | 7142 comments Mod
Glad you took care of yourself with an extra purchase, Karen!!

Niiice on the Kindle deals, Deanna!

Wow, Barb that sounds like an awful storm. I've never been in an ice storm, but I glad that you are okay!! We just keep hoping for rain out here in California. :/

I'm jealous you are getting the 2015 Challenge done. I've spent the morning looking for more books to complete the Alphabet Challenge, but I have way too many to still read and should be focused on the 2015 Challenge where I am closer to possibly finishing.

Vega_girl | 6624 comments My new motto is "if its not for a challenge it can wait!!!"

You know except for Oblivion (Lux, #1.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout !!! Because this must be read as soon as it is released on the 6th!!

message 2181: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments **** that moment when you are reding a new book and realize the hero of this book has the same name as the hero of your last book...sigh...****

message 2182: by Red (new)

Red Bling | 387 comments My younger sister was planning to buy 'After You' by Jojo Moyes for a long time but was finding it too costly since she had already spent a lot of her saving on buying other novels.
So I decided to surprise her by gifting her this one.

When I handed it over to her, she asked me who it belongs to? (with a shocked look on her face)
I said, "You"....
She was so happy...started jumping and laughing like anything !!!!
That look on her face made my day !!!!!!!

message 2183: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments That is awesome, Red!!! Best Sister award goes to you!!!

message 2184: by Vega_girl (new)

Grace (sillymssunshine) | 333 comments I need your help to pick a light, maybe funny book (hopefully with a happy ending, pleeaaaase) for my next read. I just read All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and it floored me! I'm not ready to get back on another emotional rollercoaster! I have these in queue so please help me pick one (or two):
This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith The Anatomical Shape of a Heart by Jenn Bennett Wild Reckless (Harper Boys, #1) by Ginger Scott Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

Thank you!

message 2187: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Wild Reckless!!! It is a rollercoaster but so much fun!!

Red Bling | 387 comments 'Remember me' by sophie kinsella !?

message 2189: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Okay so Im trying to finish my 2015 challenge and I resorted to children's books to get faster reads in.....the one I picked was actually really good and very informative!! Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.? by Bonnie Bader

message 2190: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anovelglimpse) | 6025 comments Mod
I second Wild Reckless!

message 2191: by Chris (new)

Chris | 7142 comments Mod
Grace the only one on your list I've read is Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and that one is fantastic but heart breaking, so pick another one for right now.

Barb, I'm did the same thing reading The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams for the Alphabet Challenge and for the book from my childhood in the 2015 Challenge. I'd never read it and it was so good.
