Awww love this!! I had such a great 3 day weekend doing very little. I've been overly busy lately and with no plans I got a lot of reading done this weekend. We went out to dinner every night and beside some laundry and cleaning I relaxed and loved it. Not to mention I live on the coast near San Francisco, so we don't get a lot of hot weather and this weekend was in the late 80's low 90's! The beach was crazy packed!!!! It was absolutely beautiful! Back to work today...boo!!

This is why when I go camping or on vacations I always bring like 5 paperback books so that I have them "just in case" lol!

Vega_girl | 6624 comments For my friends who love world's filled with magic... The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson is $1.99 on Amazon. I really loved this series! It is completely original and I haven't read anything even remotely similar. Just FYI!! Happy Friday Peeps!!!

That moment when 6 of the 15 books you have on hold at the digital library become available on the same day :(

I haven't had any books available in weeks and 6 in one day....Really? AHHHH! I can only check them out for 21 days too....better get cracking on them! But right now, I'm in the middle of book 1 of a good duology...first world problems!

Love the list

I've only read 11 out of the 37 :( I added few more to my tbr pile! I read A wrinkle in time when I was in the 5th grade and didn't like it...I think it was above my maturity level at the time (I had a high reading level, but I was only 10)

message 2022: by Vega_girl (last edited Sep 24, 2015 03:48AM) (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments I think it was genre biased!! Lol!! Because alot of them were more fantasy YA and sci-fi ...which happens to be favorites of mine and I know not so much for some of you guys!!

message 2023: by Chris (new)

Chris K. | 1404 comments I only read 7 . I'm such a loser xD

message 2024: by Erika (new)

Erika | 9482 comments Yea, those are not favs of mine. I think the closet I came to loving anything like that was the Hunger Games series. I've tried a few other and I just can't get into them.

message 2025: by Grace (new)

Grace (sillymssunshine) | 333 comments I may have read 8, if you count Little Women (Little Women, #1) by Louisa May Alcott and A Wrinkle in Time (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L'Engle . It's been so long I don't even remember if I read them! I'm with Erika on this one -- loved Hunger Games but, in general, not interested in that genre. Thanks for the list!

message 2026: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments So every night it's my husband who decides when it's time for us to actually sleep.....because even working I would probably stay up all night reading!! Lol...So today he had to stay over night at his job and when we got done talking, around 11, he says"what are you going to do now?" So I say"go to sleep" and he say "no really you need to sleep" and I'm all " I just said I was going to sleep..." An hour later I'm still reading.....hehe...but I am going to sleep after this chapter.....

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Ya, when I'm tired I do too. I started Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City, #1) by Penny Reid and I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did!! I was literally laughing out loud last night!!

message 2031: by Erika (new)

Erika | 9482 comments I go to bed every night around8:45-9:30 telling myself
1. Don't read, go to sleep
2. Okay you can read for a little while
3. Alright, read until 11
4. This is it 12 is your limit
5. Finish this chapter, put your ipad a way, and this is it!!!!
6. By 1 I finally listen, unless it's a page turner and then I just read until I fall asleep.

While most of USA is off today, I am very begrudgingly working. I am also doing school work, so I am all around not happy. But if I must admit...I finished a book today and finished my two month challenge which does make me happy!

Hi Ashley!! I'm good, how are you?

I shouldn't be since it's a holiday, but I'm at work! At least I've managed a little goodreads times while eating lunch!

Erika, I'm jealous you've finished your 2 month challenge. I'm reading a book for it now and will have one more to go!

Welcome back! Wow, the pilgrimage is a month long experience? Do you do this every year?

message 2043: by Red (new)

Red Bling | 387 comments Na na...the main rites are to be performed within a week...rest is upto you...how long you would like to stay...
You have to perform hajj just once in a lifetime only of you can afford
(if you want to do it more than once because you can...then thats absolutely your choice )

Ashley (ashielizz) Glad to hear everyone is doing well, even if they did have to work.

My boyfriend is back home, I finally got approved for my new insurance and I have a possible part-time job so things are starting to look up for me again.

Good News Ashley!

On another note: I started watching season 2 of Outlander and so far I've watched up through episode 5 (the episode where Randall's men captures Jamie - again-) and I can't bring myself to watch anymore because I don't want to see my poor Jamie be tortured. I know - it's silly, because I already know what happens, but I still can't do it. Eventually I will get the courage to watch it...just not today!

Wow, today is starting out good! I was looking for some books to read to meet some of the challenges I have going. I found 5 different books on goodreads and when I went to amazon to purchase them all 5 were apart of my Kindle Unlimited! I pay for it monthly and then don't use it enough, so to accidentally stumble on 5 books at once was awesome!!!
