What's a state testing?

message 1579: by Karen (new)

Karen (readingaway84) | 2519 comments Mod
state testing = yearly tests that students in the USA have to take to show that the students are making adequate yearly progress and that the teachers/school districts are doing their job. Each of the 50 states set their own criteria/demands for this so it varies from state to state, but each state has to do it.

It's a pain in the neck for teachers, students, parents, etc.

You know they put out a 30 minute only available on Audible Sweet Filthy Morning After (Wild Seasons, #1.5) by Christina Lauren . It's under $2.00 and really worth it. It's Ansel's POV the morning after they get married in Vegas. The narrator for Ansel has a wonderfully sexy French accent and I was glad I listened to it.

I think you will love Dirty Rowdy Thing (Wild Seasons, #2) by Christina Lauren . They are just fun, sexy books!

message 1589: by Chris (new)

Chris K. | 1404 comments I'm taking ur advice Christine ^_^ and I'll definitely see the audiobook. I was dying the whole book to listen to his french accent because I suck at french and accents xD

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Okay you know how you have a favorite story line...like The Deal, where it's classic bad boy & good girl making bargains.....sometimes the different storys are good sometimes they feel like cheap imitations????? Okay so I just finished this book Because of Him by Jessica Roe ...and my first thought was that it was probably a cheap imitation of one of our favorite stories ever, but it wasn't it was so good and even though the premise was similar I love that this story stood on it own!!! I laughed out loud(like a weirdo) and I cried like a baby!! So good....Okay just thought I would share LOL!!

message 1593: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments P.s. I hate when I have all these books lined up to read but I keep jumping to ones that were no where near the top of the list!!!

message 1595: by Erika (new)

Erika | 9482 comments Okay... I have and iPad mini and I love it, and I do all my reading on it. I have amazon prime but can only read from the library if I have an actual kindle. Is that aspect of getting books worth me getting a kindle? Is kindle unlimited worth it?

message 1596: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments You can always download the kindle app...I think I works the same!! At least it does on my Galaxy tablet

Yes, just download the App on your iPad mini and you can do all Kindle on iPad. I use the Kindle Fire now, but I use to always read on my iPad. If I had an iPad mini I would read on that all the time. My iPad was just too big to lug around with me, so I find the Kindle Fire easier. Okay, I subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, but I don't go through it to find books so I don't always get my moneys worth. Yet, I'm happily surprised when a book I want to read is on it. I'm sure I could find a lot more to read if I went through them, but you can only download 10 books at a time. If you go to download an 11 it will ask you to return a book. This month I downloaded 3 books Maybe Maby by Willow Aster True Love Story by Willow Aster I Home is Where You Are by Tessa Marie . I like it and it appears to me that it is getting more popular with authors, because I'm finding more of the books I want to read are on it.
