Janis Kay (riceball1759) | 2 comments Ok, so many users read ombnibus (multi-volume) editions of regular fiction and graphic novels, but go to the single volume book entries because they want each book counted towards their reading challenge. Currently, these editions only count as 1 book read...when these are, in reality, 2-3 books just bound together as a money saver for both publisher and consumer.

I was wondering if there was a way to alter the metadata to make these editions count towards the actual number of books included inside each volume, so that the users (including myself) don't have to add both to our "read" shelves. Idealistically, this would mean having a checkbox added for "multi-volume/omnibus" and a selector for how many books are included. Any advice??

(This has been discussed in feedback several times before, it's probably more suitable for that group, since it's about site functionality rather than librarian work.)
