Has anyone had any dealings with, or knows anything about, Scribl? Not Scribld, which seems to be a different thing altogether.

Yes, it is. It has this bright idea whereby the price of the book is determined (to a certain extent) by its degree of popularity. Therefore, if you sell a copy once in a blue moon, it will be free, but if you're trampled in the rush to get them, the price rises accordingly. Just wondered if anyone had tried it?
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Odd concept."Interesting though! It's the same basis as marginal pricing for seats on budget airlines. The idea is to allow those with no pre-existing fan base to build one by giving their book away initially, apparently.

I'm really surprised. I came across it by accident but it seems to me, on the basis of the little that I know about it, that it could be a game-changing business model. Mind you, I'm wrong about most things ;-)
