Rafi Snowden | 101 comments I read this from the new shelf at the library in spring or summer 2012. I know it was by a "popular" well known author, tho not one I usually read.

The story involved dolls that were AI or in some way programmed, and there was some kind of long chase. Something about the MC being responsible in some way for the dolls, or finding out some info that he wasn't supposed to have?

I don't think the dolls were the main thing, but they are distinctive and that's why I remember them.

A bit vague I know, but since it's relatively recent, I hope someone will recognize it.

NOT a YA book!

Was it sci-fi, horror or fantasy? Were the dolls "doll" sized or human sized? The MC was male? I asked that since you said "he". Do you remember anything about the cover?

Rafi Snowden | 101 comments I don't remember the cover. The dolls were doll sized, something like Barbie dolls I think. The main character was a man. It was sci-fi, but the author wasn't one I associate with sci-fi. One of those big names tho, like John Grisham, or someone like that. Pretty sure it was a male author also.
I remember that I thought it was a pretty good sci-fi story for a non sf writer, but rather shallow. It wasn't a long book.

Rafi, glad you found your book. Toys by James Patterson for the link.

I've moved your request to the "Adult Fiction-SOLVED" folder by clicking "Edit" near to the top of the page (on the desktop, not mobile, website).
