chin up and we'll drown a little slower;
i was at a funeral the other day for a distant relative, right
and the dead guy’s cousin died one hour before the funeral
so they brought the cousin in a casket to the funeral
and had a double funeral??
i’m like.. that’s prolly worse than proposing at someone’s wedding lmao

scholarship requirements, extra credit assignments, homework from 3 chapters ago that i still don’t have done, and i’ve got no fuckin clue what’s going on in class
plus somehow my calc teacher is gonna cram another chapter in before the final. there’s 3 days left of classes.
somehow, with 3 class periods left, 5 hours total of class time, we have to finish chapter 4, do chapter 5, do the chapter 5 project, do the final review, and take the final
college was made for rich students who don’t do anything except study, don’t @ me. the material is too rigorous to have in addition to a job or family. the cost is unrealistically high and it’s almost impossible to pay for it out of pocket. the system is fucked because it was designed to enable the rich to become richer and push everyone else to the bottom.
also @ anyone who’s tryna comment saying that anything’s possible if you work hard enough—
i know it’s different for everyone but literally 99% of the people i know at my extremely rigorous university is having a mental breakdown at any given moment due to the stress/lack of sleep/lack of money when it comes to classes
having a full time job and taking 12 credits isn’t unheard of, but it’s fuckin difficult. your grades with suffer without a doubt, and the rich kid with no job that’s focusing on studies alone is gonna have the higher GPA and will be more likely to land internships.

tl;dr the american higher education system is shitty and pretty much works under the idea of helping the rich get richer
i knew a bunch of people in high school that were planning on taking a gap year to work and save up for college. my thing is, if you’re fresh out of high school you’re gonna be working min wage. let’s say that’s $9/hr on average. full time is 40 hrs/week. before taxes that’s about $17,000. let’s say after taxes it’s $13,000. that won’t even cover two semesters, assuming you work your ass off and take no time off and don’t buy anything else for the entire year.
yo i have work in like an hour and i’m still in bed but i can’t move bc Misha is sleeping on my back
retaking a pic like 7 times in order to get a good one to post on your story, JUST so someone specific can see it ~~
went to a party, took grunge/edgy af pics of my fave, ate 4 rice krispie treats, did the cup song with an open full can of la croix (which explains the meaning behind the caption of the pic on my story), discovered that the guy i had been talking to over text is actually really hot according to his instagram, and wore the wrong hoodie home
